Living on Tylenol
Anyone else find themselves living, or should I say surviving, on Tylenol these days. I usually don't complain too much about pregnancy pains, especially since this is my third time around, but this pregnancy is kicking my butt. I am SO sore lately, especially at night, that I find myself popping two Tylenol at night before bed (usually PM's) so I can sleep, and two in the morning just to take some of the soreness away.
Anybody else just REALLY sore these days??

Re: Living on Tylenol
I'm finding it hard to sleep in my bed. Many nights I've taken to sleeping on the couch. I know it will only get worse and it's sooo hard because I've got to get up early for work. I've been getting headaches also but don't take anything for them (too afraid). I try to drink lots of water to prevent the headaches, but when I get them I just try to take a nap.

Re: Living on Tylenol
Yes. I bought one of those huge bottles of that rapid release tylenol in the first tri, and another small one in the 2nd, and just today by the grace of God we had money from ebay sales enough for me to get some off brand tylenol. HEAVEN. Not walking around wal-mart for over a month is killer on these hips.
I am out of Tums too.

I've yet to take anything, but the headaches and soreness are making life quite difficult. A month or so back my doctor gave me Tylenol w Codine, but I only took a couple of them. I try to stay away from the meds. I find that keeping up on my water intake really does the job! It's a miracle worker

Re: Living on Tylenol
I've found that drinking as much water as I can stand helps with my headaches. I haven't found much to help with the sore back though, I take Tylenol for that.

Re: Living on Tylenol
I've been taking Tylenol almost every day this week mostly for teeth pain. Has anyone else noticed if they take Tylenol PM that they get headaches? It happens to me every time, and DH too. He didn't realize it until I mentioned it and then he was like "That's why I've had a headache". I don't know why but it seems to cause them in me, and I am getting enough headaches on my own, thank you very much. My teeth have been killing me, and my doctor prescribed Vicodin, but that wipes me out and I need to function to help with DD. If I take a Vicodin, I literally pass out for 2 to 4 hours. The same thing happened to me with the Percocet after my C-section with Summer last year.
I got into the car after carrying DD around the store (getting b-day cake mixes for my Mom - her b-day yesterday and we are having the party tomorrow) and got what I definitely think was round-ligament pain - can this baby be getting bigger already? I am so HUGE! I'll have to take a pic one of these days when I am feeling like sharing. LOL. I had to do some Lamaze-type breathing for about 3 minutes on the way out of town it hurt so bad on my right side. Sheesh! It is embarrassing to tell people when I am due when they ask - I want to shave off a couple of months "oh, any day now" - since that is how I look! Ha, ha.
I'm so ready to have this baby - LOL. I remember feeling this way when I was carrying Skyler - maybe it has to do with how my body reacts to carrying boys, because I was fine with Summer - I totally wasn't ready for her to be born, but this one - come out already - LOL.
Hope you are out of pain soon,
Hugs,
Melissa

Re: Living on Tylenol
have you tried going to a chiropractor??: might end up helping much more in the end the the tylenol...and will probably make labour and delivery easier.

Me too! The back and hip pain are almost unbearable sometimes. Definitely downing the Tylenol.

Re: Living on Tylenol
Tylenol doesn't really help much with my pains, so I just don't take anything anymore.

Re: Living on Tylenol
I've tried tylenol and it doesn't seem to help much so I stopped taking them. My hips kill me at night, I might try some PMs so I can get some sleep.
