My grandma had a massive stroke on Tuesday night, we didn't know what exactly happened until Wednesday, decided to do hospice (at home) care on Thursday, and she passed away peacefully Friday morning in her own bed. My grandparents were married for 63 years, so my grandfather is just devastated. My parents live across the country and flew in on Thursday and are staying at his house, I have to take care of Tony on my own (dh is offshore until the end of pregnancy) so I'm staying the night at my house and spending the days with them. My parents will fly out on Tuesday, so I will be busy helping him. My grandma was a hoarder, so my sister and I will be going through her stuff, since it makes him sad. But I'm really the only one around that doesn't work, so I'll be doing a lot!
I am so sad that Gemma Lynn won't get to meet her, her middle name is after her sort of, her name was Marilyn, I got the Lynn part from her and I'm glad we decided a name early, she loved that we got Lynn from her She really loved Tony, her only daughter passed away from type 1 diabetes 20 years ago so she really connected to him and his struggles.
So if you don't see me on here much, that's why! Baby is fine, mama's family isn't

I am so so so terribly sorry. Having gone through a terrible loss this past winter, I can relate with how hard it is. We will miss you but will always be here.

So sorry for your family's loss. Take care of yourself. My grandma passed away when I was pregnant with Annie and it was soooo hard because she had waited 24 yrs for another girl to be born into our family (I was the last one) and she was sooooo excited for her to be coming, but couldn't hang on to meet her - we take comfort in knowing that she got to spend alot of one on one time with her in heaven before she was born though...in fact Annie was 5 days late and I always have said it's because my Grandma wasn't ready to let her go yet.....
