Default Reglan?

anyone heard of it? taken it? as most of you know; i'm having/had real bad MS.

between my last appt (2/22) and yesterday's appt (NT scans results- everything looks really great, extremely low risks, etc). i've had severe MS. oddly though this week, it started bad (wknd) & has become less. today i feel quite good. but so seems to be the pattern w/ this morning sickness.

i told her that it got real bad since our last appt. they weighed me & i've lost about 2 lbs. she prescribed reglan (5mg) but only to take when really needed. she also suggested anti-acids (before meals).

i was happy & relieved w/ the prescription, i could cry. but on the way home, my husband & i talked about it: my MS 'seems' to be slowly slowly lessening (ie: i'm not puking 3-5 times a day anymore). right now i've been sick once a day, on and off for the last week. i went online last night & googled reglan... read some harsh stuff. i don't like how med. industry is quick to prescribe drugs BUT a few weeks ago i was begging for relief!

DH suggested i try the anti-acids & eating crackers in the morning (as DR suggested) and see how that goes. he went out and bought a whole bunch of crackers & ginger candy (AWW!). the more he talked, the more it made sense to me. DH is my partner in this & he's seen me suffering but he really thinks i will get better (and i do feel better today).

so, as strange as it seems & as sick as i've been: i think i will hold off on filling the prescription for reglan (but i'm holding onto the pres. as a security blanket) and see if the MS goes away as i'm heading into week 15.

what do you ladies think?? what would you do?

should i hold off? i don't really want to spend money on a drug, that i may (*hopefully!!!*) not need in a week or two. i've been able to eat & keep a lot of it down, the last couple of days. i can get through anything IF i know there's an end in sight.

anyone else still suffering?????
