Default Editing Question

When do you get to edit your posts? And is there anything else you have to have enough posts before doing it?

I'm still trying to get the hang of this stuff, and I wasn't sure if there was anything else I was missing.

I think anyone can edit the post, ust for 2 minutes only (don't ask why there is a cutoff at all)

How do you edit? I've never seen anything that says "edit".

after you posted, look at your post. There will be a big edit box beside the Quote, "" , and Quick Reply buttons at the bottom, for 2 mins after posting. Then it disappears.

The 2 min rule is in place so people don't flame other people and then go back and edit it out...etc. You have 2 min that way if you want to go back and fix spelling...etc you can.

In order to edit you have to be a "registered user" which means that you have to have over 100 posts and a PM box. (Once you have 100 posts you can request that the pm box be enabled and then you get the edit option)

I think that is strange, it is GOOD to edit a flame and take back what you said, it's worse to leave it ...it's not a good idea that you can't edit IMO
