Has anyone here ever hired a doula before? Was it worth it? I've been giving it some thought this time around, especially now that I lost one 1/2 of my favorite support system in my OB back in MA, and with DH not being as involved right now - there is every possibility that he wont be able to move to CA before the baby is born. But I already know what to expect really, and did get my natural birth with Karsten. I'm so nervous about everything here in CA.

How do I find a doula? How do I know if she's qualified and we'll get along, etc? What is the prince range I should expect to pay? Is it a one time fee or hourly? How in-depth are her services?
