Following his recent ousting from The Young and the Restless, the latest TV Guide (March 9-15 issue) is reporting that Don Diamont has signed on to The Bold and the Beautiful to play Bill Spencer, Jr. from April.

Whilst Bill Spencer may be a name familiar to longtime B&B viewers, there was never any mention of him having a son. How this will play out is anyone's guess, but Joanna Johnson (ex-Caroline Spencer, ex-Karen Spencer) is reportedly returning in April, presumably to usher his new character onto the canvas.

B&B desperately needs to expand its romantic storylines beyond passing Nick, Ridge, Eric and Rick between female cast members. If the Spencer family legacy is brought into play, this could open up a lot of possibilities. With Forrester Creations and Jackie M both at the forefront on B&B right now, it should be as easy as pie to slot in someone whose family was historically connected with fashion publishing.
