OK here's the background. I have been working away this week in Texas, got up at 4am to catch a 5.30 am flight home, made my 39 minute connection in Houston and landed back on time- so I was in a pretty good mood. I stopped at the bathroom before leaving the airport as I was running to try to catch the end of DD's swimming lesson. I was stupidly wearing capris and the heat of Texas plus the flight had made my ankes and feet swell up pretty badly. So the bathroom cleaner looks at me as I walk into the bathroom and said "You need to stop eating salt". I just laughed it off and carried on. When I was washing my hands she came up to me again and said " Seriously they are going to admit you to hospital if you carry on eating salt the way you have been". WTF? I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying "Really? And were you an OB before you cleaned toilets for a living?" Nasty I know but why do people think they know everything about you and have a right to comment on your life when you are pregnant?

Wow! You handled it better than I would have. I would started defending myself and bawling like a baby!!

But, seriously, you shouldn't eat a lot of salt!! BWAH!!!

i eat a ton of salt and im just fine, my swelling is only even noticable if its hot (knock on wood)

i prolly woulda used the line about being an OB before she cleaned toilets lol that woulda been funny

Considering you were running around and just got off a flight...duh you're legs were swollen...big surprise! Everyone wants to offer every pregnant woman their advice. I would have told off. I stopped being nice about month five when a woman told me I was to fat. I just asked what her excuse for being morbidly obese was. Not nice I know...but seriously why does everyone have an opinion when they see you're pregnant.
