I have to take the 3 hour diabetes test because I failed the one hour !!! Those that had to take the 3 hour, what did you do to pass the time? I don't want to have to sit there for 3 hours but I know they draw blood every hour. Just wondering if you all sat there the entire time (and how bad was it) or did you leave and come back each hour to have your blood drawn. I am dreading this!!!! I'll probably go and take it once school is over and I won't have to take off work to do it.

Hi. I am a lurker. I took the 3 hour last pregnancy and they were kind enough to put me in an extra room and I brought my laptop and worked. Another option would be to bring a portable dvd player and watch a movie.

Good luck with your test. I failed my 1 hour last time, but passed my 3 hour. I hope the same happens for you.

I sat there the whole time. My OB office doesn't allow you to leave. Luckily, they have tvs in there & had HGTV on... it passed the time. Last pregnancy, they didn't have them, so I read a book while I was there... good luck!

I sat there the whole time. They said i could have gone home, and it really wasnt far, but i was worried about not getting back in time. I took a book and they had a tv there. The hardest part for me, was that the cafeteria was right next to the lab, so everyone kept coming out with coffee and donuts while i was sitting there starving.
