my appt
I had an appt yesterday morning. Everything was all normal except that I am measuring 2 cm behind - I've always been measuring 1 cm behind, but now 2, so at my appt next week I am going to have an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing like it should. Makes me kinda nervous, but the dr said it's most likely b/c the baby's head is in my pelvic structure. He checked me and I'm not dilated at all but he could feel the baby's head. I had NO idea that being checked would be so uncomfortable - he was just all crazy down there - not fun. So now I'm really anxious for next week's appt b/c of the u/s. I really hope that it's b/c the baby is really low and doesn't mean that the baby is growing slowly or that I'll go really late. Gotta love the pregnancy worry factor - can't escape it!

Re: my appt
yeah it was more than likely just off bc of the position the baby was in... i dont see why they even really measure, those measurements can be so far off!

Re: my appt
~*Hugs*~ hun, by the end of my last pregnancy I was something like 4-5 weeks behind & baby ended up being 8lb.8oz So try not to stress on it
I was also told with my 3rd that when the baby drops/engages that you can loose some off of your fundal height. When I was in labour with her a mid fundally measured me at 35 weeks, & said that baby was tiny & about 5lb. The other mid then corrected her & told her it was because baby was 'right down & ready to come out'. Deffinately not a 5lb'der, she was 8lb.3oz
Interesting considering my first two measured ahead, but all of my babies have been in the 8lb range.

Re: my appt
Glad your apt went well! someone had told me it was gonna hurt to be checked and prepared me. I have been checked now by 2 doctors and 2 nurses. The doctors didn't hurt much at all, in and out...they knew exactly what they were doing. The nurses HURT! It's like they were drilling for oil or digging for gold or something! OUCH! It wasn't fun at all! Makes me not mind that yearly pap as much...it's uncomfortable, but sure doesn't hurt!
