Re: Kelly- Any news??
Hey! I'm still here! My doc had an emergency c-section and by the time she got to me and I got home, my holiday company was arriving! We had such a fun day and no time to post, but I'll tell you more about that later.
So my doctor said that I was dehydrated again! She explained that the "irritations" that the nurse referred to were not bh contractions. The difference is, that irritations do not cause you to dialate. She said, that if irritations continue to go untreated for a long period of time, they could cause your body to produce a chemical that acts as Pitocin and cause you to go into labor. So, she said if it happens again for me to guzzle the water (someone else told me at least 32 oz.). Wait until I go to the bathroom and my urine is almost clear, and then if I'm still having them after an hour or so, call, that they probably are bh. Everything else was just fine!
I don't think the ER nurse that was treating me ever even spoke to a doctor! My doc said that I should have been given fluids before I left (which explains why I continued to have contractions the rest of the evening). And that nurse kept saying, "Dr. Bannister said..." That is MY doctor's name, and my doc. didn't act like she had a clue that I had even been to the er! ...very strange! Oh well now! I feel better having more specific instructions.
