Re: 13 contractions
Drink some water. Lie down, and wait. Or take a warm bath. Or just go to sleep.
These contractions are really annoying, but until they start being so painful you can't talk then they probably aren't doing anything productive.
If you go to the ER, they will do what they did last time...a shot to stop them and a shot for pain.
You can call your doctor to confirm, but chance are this is just one of those annoying things. I had this a lot with my DS...in fact, there were three days that I actually put my labor plan into action as far as childcare goes. No such luck...the contractions died down eventually.
Good luck!

Re: 13 contractions
Melissa is right, until they REALLY take your breath away they aren't doing anything!! I'd stay put and see if they develop

Re: 13 contractions
If I get more than 5-6 an hour, I've been instructed to call L&D. But, that was before I had the steroid shots. Now they're just going to let me go in labor cause I'm almost 34 weeks with the twins.
I would do what Melissa suggested. But if they are uncomfortable, I'd call just to be on the safe side.

Re: 13 contractions
well i called and they said what melissa said lol. but i called when i had like 20 in 2 hours it ended up being 25 so i just laid down and tried to go to sleep and today i feel like i been hit by a truck. i feel like i ate something wrong thanks for the help. when i laid down they was still comming on, that was why i called them they was like 2 mins apart. oh and also (TMI) i think i lost part of mucas plug but not bloody show or anything. ok i feel sick just talking about it. anyways i guess the time is near for me.

Re: 13 contractions
Are you staying hydrated? That can be a major cause of bad BH.

Re: 13 contractions
Ya, it's best to keep that baby in there longer, you're only almost 35 weeks. Have you had the steroid shots in case the baby comes this early? That would be a good thing to do. It sounds like he may come any day now, and you don't want him to need lots of time in the NICU.
