My DH was the same when we foundout about our first. It wears off fast! And when she is born, she will be the light of his life! Congrats on your little princess!

Thanks ladies! You are very reassuring! I think DH will come around too but I was a little nervous.

I've talked to him several times already about how it's not that much different - he can still get down on the floor and "rough house" with a girl and he can still take a girl fishing and hunting. I think those were things he was really looking forward to with a little boy. We girls aren't as delicate as he thinks. Thanks again for the reassurances though!

Erica - I thought for sure I was having a boy too! When the tech said it was a girl, I must have had the dumbest look on my face! It took a couple of seconds for it to register that she said girl, not boy!

Carmen - I did buy some dresses. I'll take pics and post them tonight.

Woohoo!!! Congrats on your baby girl! You DH will LOVE having a little daddy's girl!!!! There's something about the girls and their daddy's. I agree that he can still rough and tumble with a baby girl. I know I did Indian Princesses with my dad when I was little (now called Adventure Guides) and we would hike, camp, build little derby cars and all sorts of fun "non-prissy" things.
