still hanging on!
Hey all! Got a couple of minutes online. Still in Vancouver, still waiting for baby who was *supposed* to arrive July 4th, still imposing on relatives. Pip has adjusted well after having spent 3 weeks here. We are SO ready to go home and be in our own space.
We're waiting for a checkup tomorrow afternoon to see if there has been any change since last Wednesday (2cm dilated and 1cm left to efface since late June). Have been losing my plug since Wednesday (in significant amounts) and had 2 nights of false labour. One was 7 hours worth of predictable (from every15 mins down to 7 minutes) "fakie achies" and the other two nights later was about 6 hrs. Went in for an ultrasound today to check to fluid levels and growth. Then had a NST for an hour and a half because baby was lazy (until I ate a banana chocolate muffin). Um, oh yeah-gestational diabetes stinks even more when your overdue because I have a big container of rice pudding waiting for me and I thought I would have been able to get into it by now.
My thoughts and prayers to those dealing with infections and in labour right now! Sorry I can't reply individually to everyone's posts. Congratulations to all the beautiful new moms and their new babies. I wish you all a smooth transition into the larger family dynamic.
Hopefully Brandie will be posting for me sooner rather than later!
