Snacks?
So I am traveling for work tommorow for a couple days and as I mentioned in another thread I need to eat all the time. If I let myself get hungry the sick sets in. So I am constantly carrying around snacks. Well I am worried that while traveling I will be away from food for to long at a time and so I want to prepare my snack bag to take with me on the plane.
I am kinda getting tired of my regular snacks(apples, string cheese, goldfish crackers, granola bars) and wondered what you guys snack on cuz i need some ideas for easy to take with you kind of stuff.
Thanks for your ideas.

Re: Snacks?
I'll second the rice cakes. I've been loving the Mint Chocolate Mini's lately. Also, I've been pretty big on applesauce, but I don't think that works as a traveling food.

Re: Snacks?
Single serve apple sauce works well in a cooler or for part of a day If you're always snacking I'd get an itty bitty cooler anyway (they have really small ones in the baby sections usually that hold 4 bottles of EBM... I think Avent has one that looks like a little bitty purse too but you may have to actually buy the manual pump lol). When you have the cooler you can also do baby carrots (and maybe dip), fresh veggies, fruits... I like ritz crackers even though they're unhealthy. And animal crackers.
If it's a no-food zone I'll take a water bottle and a packet of K2O protein water mix... it's surprisingly filling (I do it right before bed so I don't wake up starving)

Re: Snacks?
I am big on fruit with this pregnancy... oranges, fresh cut pinapple and sectioned grapefruit. I usually cut up big batches and divide them into little Gladware containers to take to work each week. Peanut butter crackers is another good one - and filling due to the protein. Dried fruit or trail mix is another easy one to travel with and might be something different. I know I've bought pre-packaged baby carrotts with ranch dip for my kiddos before - that might be a good one; although, not sure how long the ranch can last un-refridgerated.

Re: Snacks?
I don't eat much snack food since I eat 5 smaller meals a day but for DD I give her all the things you mentioned plus Special K bars or cereal bars, popcorn, veggie sticks, and I was thinking trail mix would be good too...

Re: Snacks?
I love apple slices with the caramel dip that comes in individual containers. It is so good and is a healthy treat.

Re: Snacks?
Also, I don't know if it's just me or not but every time I see Miki's (Bellywinker) signature pics, I really want to snack on cupcakes!
