Oh, the things coming out of my...
I lost my mucous plug last night!
After writing this blog post, ironically enough, where in response to people asking more questions than they should (strangers, I mean) I wrote:
|
And no, I haven't lost my mucous plug, thanks. Do you want me to take a picture when I do?
|
If it hadn't been midnight I may have been tempted to get the camera Of course, no labor, so that means the plug is regenerating. And that'll give me plenty of opportunity.
But at least my cervix is working

ITA!
I can't wait to read your birth story.
I was wondering, what happens if you tear...like enough to need stitches?

Re: Oh, the things coming out of my...
LOL no labor yet... *whistles Jeopardy theme song*
If I have less than a 1st degree tear (no muscle) then I won't repair at all. Otherwise I'll go into L&D w/o baby to get sutured and then sign out. But it'll have to be pretty bad for me to go in. I was considering the super glue method but just don't know if I'd be coordinated enough. We'll be doing a LOT to work on preventing tearing, though!
And don't worry... I wouldn't dare actually take a pic of my MP.

Oh Sunny, how I was hoping to see a pic of your mucous plug *SARCASM*
You are too funny, just when i'm feeling like CRAPOLA, I come to read your posts and they always cheer me up!
I watched 'Baby Story' today and she did a homebirth and I thought of you, I dont know what they did with their placenta though, I was half hoping she would say 'Honey, can you cut them up for my smoothie later'
love ya!

Re: Oh, the things coming out of my...
Jessica, somehow I don't think that, even if they ate the placenta, TLC would show that. It would be totally priceless though and I would have to DVR it for sure!!!
Stephanie, I KWYM. Let me add this to the "absolutely sure signs of labor that didn't pan out" list.
And I can't believe the number of people who ask about such intimate details... and then rub my belly and smile. While I'm WEARING my "touch the belly, lose a hand" shirt!!!

Re: Oh, the things coming out of my...
I asked about the stitches because I was thinking of you after I gave birth & was getting stitched...
I thought "Gee, if this was Sunny, who would be doing this?" I thought maybe your DH!
