Ugh! I'm so annoyed with this right now. I had originally planned to work until I had the baby, take my 6 weeks (or until Dr releases me) & then use my 2 weeks vacation at the end so I could stay out longer.
WRONG! Can't do that.

I talked to the HR manager & I have to use ALL of my vacation time before maternity leave in order for it to not be used as my pay for the beginning of my maternity leave. So basically, if I don't use it before I go out, my company will start my maternity leave out as my 2 weeks vacation, then pay me my maternity leave after those two weeks.
And I only get 40%!
I had wanted to go out the beginning of July and come back beginning of September so I could spend the summer with the boys... but I don't know if I can take 2 weeks at the end of my leave without any pay at all.
Josh still isn't working, so I have that to consider as well.
I'm not sure how to split my vacation time before my leave starts. Take Fridays off until then? Take a few days at a time? A week at a time?"
I don't want to plan vacation time close to my possible induction dates in case I go early for whatever reason, then still lose my vacation time.
You girls have any suggestions?
