If I wasn't so miserable I would laugh

I had an itchy rash that started on my lower back last week but wasn't *too* bad and the itch seemed to let up after a few days although the rash remained. Then yesterday my arms and belly started itching and broke out in the same red rash. Last night I woke up and the itching was sooo bad I was nearly in tears. It was like my belly and arms were covered in mosquito bites or poison ivy and just burning they itched so bad. I was informed on another board it is most likely PUPPS and my doctor confirmed it but wasn't very helpful. He said he could give me an oral steroid but then scared the crap out of me with the risks, especially the risks being that I'm having a girl. *sigh* So I went to K-Mart and bought every Aveeno product I could find and a wooden "scratching brush" which isn't the right name but that's what I'm calling it.

Then I was told I failed the 1 hour GTT, however my number was 141 and I've heard lots of labs have cut-offs of 140 so maybe it wasn't too bad. But I still have to do the 3 hour test next week. Maybe the only good news of the day was that my blood pressure was a decent 140/76.

I know when she gets here and I hold her in my arms none of this will matter, that's what I keep telling myself.

I'm sorry you are having such a terrible time! The rash sounds just awful. I hope it gets better soon. Did your doctor tell you how long it lasts or if there are other symptoms? You are right though - it will all be worth it when in just a few short months you have that little miracle in your arms!

Ugh! I am sorry you have that rash. I remember hearing about it during my last pregnancy. Did your Dr. say how long it would last?
Good luck on your 3hr test, I am sure you will pass it since you were so close.

Aw, Kelly that is awful! So much to deal with especially at one time...
You are right that she is worth it... but in the meantime I hope you get some relief!

I hope the itching lets up. I failed my 1 hr too and I haven't heard anything yet about my 3 hr. Good luck on yours.
