Is anyone giving older siblings a gift from the baby? I thought about doing that this time since my kids will be 4 & 5, but I'm not sure what to give....does in need to be something baby related....or can it be a Barbie and a Hot Wheels car? Should I wrap them? How do others do it?

If DS was older I would do it, but I think he's too young to really understand (he'll be 21 months). I would wrap it like a regular gift and give something not necessarily baby-related...

Re: Gifts for older siblings
Well, I did give them a special somethings...informally of course. My 8 year old understands that we are having a baby and hes past the "if he gets then I get". My 2 year old on the other hand...maybe some cars...like you said...and he'll probably get them at the baby shower. Hes so young now...hes only 2...that if he gets jealous then it'll probably be when the baby gets here. But sure, wrapping them is a great way to give them a gift! kids love unwrapping...and its so nice to see their faces!
I don't know if we will get something from Alex but we are giving her a tote bag with thinks for her to do. She is also suppose to go to build a bear and make her and her baby brother a bear. I will have to talk to dh about it more but I haven't thought about having anything wrapped up for her from him.
Yes, we will be. I posted a thread about this very same thing a few weeks ago asking for suggestions. My DD is really into her babies and feeding them, taking care of them, etc. I've decided to get her clothes for her babies and get her a new boy baby, it will be from her new baby brother. I will give it to her wrapped in the hospital when she meets him for the first time.
I will make up a fun basket of things for them to do while I'm nursing, but no they won't get a gift. I kinda equate this with push presents. To me the baby is what counts not gifts for everyone. I want them to be excited about their new brother not a new toy.

I am going to do it. I don't think she will really get it, but I want her to have a few toys, new toys to play with at the hospital to distract her from the baby getting all the attention. I plan on pulling random ones out evry now and then so she won't get over them all too quick.
But my DD is awesome in the sense that she loves the dollar store. SO it won't be a bunch of expensive stuff, it will be like 5 little dollar toys.

Yep! We did it for my dd when my ds was born. Had it wrapped and packed in my bag for the hospital which she opened up while she was there. I think it is a cute gesture. They don't expect anything, but it's always nice to get a little bit of attention ~ especially when a new baby comes into the picture. At the same time, I also will have each of my children pick out a new gift for the baby. So it will be like a present exchange. Although my dd turned 2 two days before my ds was born, she picked out the cutest little booties for him. I can't wait to see what they want to get (and how they wrap the gift) for the new baby.

I am doing both gifts to/from the baby and new stuff in the breastfeeding basket.
From the baby: I found a set of My Little Pony "sisters" a big one and little one. MLP is Angelina's FAVORITE so I know they will be a hit...plus it was so appropriate.
I am taking her to Babies R Us with me tomorrow and will have her pick out a gift FOR Lorelai. She was already coming up with ideas. My goal is something I can put near the baby at the hospital so Angelina will see her gift being "enjoyed" by the baby.
The breastfeeding box is getting a few Melissa & Doug toys~puzzles, dress-ups, this cool tea party game, DVDs.
