Hi ladies. I hope you all are well. I wasn't too happy with my visit this time. In my drs office, they want you to meet all 3 doctors just in case your dr doesn't deliver your child. So this apt i got to meet Mr. Rexroth. I waited 45 minutes just to get into the room. Then waited about 20 minutes for the doctor to come in. He didn't have a good bedside at all. He just measured my belly which I am right on track. Then he heard my baby girls hb, is still at 150. He didn't ask me how i was feeling or if I had any questions. I just felt very uncomfortable with him. I really hope he doesn't deliver my child. I gained 1 lb. He said he isn't worried, but I'm going to ask my doctor at my next visit with him. This doctor told me they do the 3D u/s but the patient has to pay for it. So I don't know if I want to do that. There is a company here where i live that does them but they give you framed pics, and a cd of the u/s. They don't do this in the office. I guess thats all for now. Does your doctors office do these for free or the insurance company pays for them? I'm just curious. I have alot of questions for my doctor next time. Also, I have been having some pain in my back that goes down my leg. this doctor told me to go see a chiropactor. Well thats all for now! Thanks, Tara

Well it costs us money here to get 3D/4D u/s done. They aren't covered at all. I know all about back and left hip pain, but it doesn't go down my leg. You may have Sciatica so be careful at the visit to the chiropractor and be very clear about where the pain is. My chiropractor is a miracle worker, so I hope you get the same results.

Sorry your appointment didn't go well... Sounds like Mr. Rexroth must have been in a great big hurry to get to his next room. I always hate that, makes me feel like I'm not important enough to have my questions answered.

I've had some hip pain, but nothing going down my leg. Shanny might be right, it could be sciatica. Do you get to see your own doctor next time? Or are you on to the next doctor on the sub list?

I'm sorry it didn't go well. When I saw an OB practice with DS1, one of the three doctors was downright rude, obnoxious, and very uninformed about natural birth... so I requested that I NOT see him, and after fighting and fighting, they agreed to only let me see the other two, and my main OB (God bless him for this at least) agreed that if this doc was on call when I went into labor, he would sign in my birth plan for them to contact HIM.

I second the chiro--tell him exactly where it hurts and let miracles happen I've almost met our insurance deductible so I can go see mine!! WOOO!!!

There was 1 dr in my old practice that misdiagnosed me and I ended up with preterm labor!
So I really didn't like that guy...and of course when I got the hospital in labor...guess who was the on call doctor? Thankfully by the time they set me up the shift changed and I actually got a dr I had never met before but he was WONDERFUL so it all worked out.
Chances are you won't get that guy but really, all the dr does is catch the baby.
Glad the baby is doing well and hope you get relief from the sciatica (I assume that's what it is to since I had it in my last pregnancy~not yet in this one knock on wood).

my offic eoffers 3d but the patient has to pay for them. I don't know of any insurance here that pays for an elective 3d ultrasound.
