Default You are going out of town?

Huh? What?

DH mentions this oh so casually yesterday. "Oh and I'll be out of town 3 days the week of May 12th".

He will only be 2 hours away, but it still has me uneasy. I am making him call his parents and make sure they are in town at that time. I think he thinks I am over reacting, but I don't like being left alone 3 weeks before before my due date.

Especially with moving and not knowing the neighbors. At least before I felt like there were some people to call if I was in a bind. Not now.

It probably isn't a big deal at all, but I like to have a plan.

My dh has been travelling a lot lately, but luckily my mom or MIL is able to stay nights with me. I know I don't *need* them there, but it's nice to know that someone is home just in case. I hope you get everything arranged soon. You are NOT overreacting. Anything can happen. God forbid something bad happens and you're all alone.

I get uneasy for that too. I got uneasy when dh had to go to the cities (2 hours away) for a meeting when I was VERY pg with Carson. And that was only for a part of the day, lol. If he does it again anytime soon, which probably will happen at some point, Ill get uneasy. In my mind, anything can happen at any point. My mind wonders and I can get paranoid quite easily.

Btw, Even when not pg, I hate being alone. I dread the month of August since dh has conventions that he has to take and its out of state (in Nebraska) for a couple of days.

Normally I don't mind being home alone. DH goes away quite often on hunting trips and what not and that doesn't bother me, but being pg is a different story. Plus knowing my history of near record breaking speedy deliveries, I get nervous if he is going to me too far away. He was already told he CAN'T (a first I have never told him he can't do anything) go on a fishing turnament that is the last weekend in May, unless baby is already here and then that will still be a maybe. LOL The turnament is like 2 hrs away and frankly that isn't enough time for him to get back if he needs to.
With my other 2 that were DIJuly DH golfed on Mondays on a work league (if that is what it's called) and normally he would leave his phone in his truck so as not to disturb him or the other golfers but when I was pg with the other 2 he HAD to take it and have it on.

When I was pregnant with #2, dh lived 2.5 hours away...we were selling our house in one city and my caregivers were there...and he got a new job in the new city. I WAS alone when I went into labor, but I had a really close friend nearby in my neighborhood and she came over. I called my mom, and I called Dh...who didn't leave until after Survivor was over (before tivo LOL) and he actually ended up missing the birth because it was so fast. The labor itself was 4 hours- he left at a little after 9 pm and A was born at 10:40 pm. We all had no idea it would go so fast! I forgave him...he didn't know and I think he felt guilty enough LOL But it was fine... I actually had ALL women around me with that birth and it was the easiest! I didn't want it that way- of course I wanted him there but it was ok. I just had to do what I needed to do, with or without him.

I bet it will all work out...try not to stress about it. Hopefully he won't miss anything, like if you go into labor but if you do, he can leave whatever he needs to do...and be with you.

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.
