I want time to fly because I am in so much pain and so uncomfortable in the end of this pregnancy that I have scheduled myself just about full, there are some big blocks of time where nothing is planned but that could change

May:
18~church
19~ lil bro turnes 23!
20~36w OB appt
21~Xander 18m baby well
22~KOTM, Xander's OT
25~church
29~37w OB appt
31~BFF's baby shower
June
1~church
5~38w OB appt
7~lil bro turnes 14 & IHH dinner at childrens hospital
8~last day at church for a while
12~ scheduled c-section

and each Wed my week changes, it doesn't make time go any faster but it is something to look forward to I plan to sleep in as much as possible too, at least until school gets out on the 30th then Dh's schedule changes and I have to get up early with the kids

somewhere in the first week of June I will have another KOTM visit but that won't be scheduled until the 22 when she comes and at some point I am going to pack my bag and shave my legs and lay out all the clothes for the kids for each day I am at the hospital since Dh has NO fasion sence and I don't want them looking like orphans

Oh yeah and my glider should be here between the 27th and 5th and I can put that together too!

I sure hope that this makes time FLY, I don't want to be in this pain anymore, I want to trade it for the c-sec pain now (How crazy is that!)

Well, the entire pregnancy has literally flown by for me till this point so I can't really complain about it seeming like forever till now. I was going to school and clinicals 5 days a week, all day long, and preparing for graduation. I also was planning Kylie's 3rd b-day and found out my stepdad had cancer and dh needed surgery so I'd say I was way too sidetracked to focus entirely on this pregnancy. Now that things have calmed down some (i.e., stepdad's in radiation and will be fine; dh goes back to work on Monday; I graduated a week ago; and Kylie has had her party) all I can do is think of what I have yet to finish for the baby this time around. I will be spending the next month frantically trying to get everything done for the baby and his room that I have yet to do. That being said, I think it will go by too fast and seem so slow all at the same time since I am in pain too. I am still feeling overwhelmed by it all now. The joys of pregnancy!

this pregnancy has flown for me too. With Ava it felt like I was preggers for years but this time around it feels like I've barely had time to adjust to the fact that I AM pregnant and now it's almost over. I'm pretty miserable the last couple of weeks but it's still going by way faster than I'm ready for.

LOL...that sounds very familiar! I do give my DH credit for admitting it, though, and almost always asking me to get their (the girls, at least) clothes out if he's dressing them. My boys, on the other hand, no longer need their mama to dress them, but....ACK...they both took after DH! I can very much relate!

Just pushing on here... Thankfully, several of our kids' activities ended for this school year in the past week or two. That's one load off. Next week Kiley's new dresser will be in so I can transfer the girls' clothes and make room for baby's. Hopefully we'll have our new washer/dryer by then, too, so I can wash all of the baby stuff...which reminds me I still need baby detergent. My baby shower is tomorrow. The dogs go to the vet on Monday. We need to get the kids in for annual physicals. My DH really needs some major dental work done before the baby comes (oh boy, great fun for huge, in-pain me having him out of commission for a few days ). I picked up our pool for the birth, but still need to order the liner and get other supplies ready. I need to figure out what we'll be eating around baby time...hopefully I can count on my mom to help there? Of course, the house is a continuous work in progress...I really need to steam clean the upstairs carpets, but who knows if and/or when that will happen?

Remainder of May:
*The boys and I have school to finish up...and then have relaxed summer projects/journaling to start.
*Our 5yo will be with my parents for three days the end of the month...and then it's the boys' turn for a week into early June (baby can't come then!)
*I need to enroll the kids in swimming lessons
*Spencer finishes baseball the end of this month

June 1: We have a family reunion that I may or may not make it to (200mi away).
June 15: Kiley's dance recital is June 15 (also my dad's birthday).
June 20 & 22: Austin's & DH's birthdays
June 25: Baby DUE (and my grandpa's birthday)...but we shall see?

I wish I had some *fun* things planned, but it's all pretty mundane must-get-done stuff. VBS for my kids and then vacation aren't until July and August. I cannot wait for vacation! We are very past due for one and hopefully by then I'll be feeling pretty good.

Mine has flown up until now too. Now the days seem long because I'm so uncomfortable and can't imagine going all the way till my schedule date like this. At the same time, like Tasha mentioned, the time is in reality ticking away quickly. I still have things to get done that family circumstances have caused to be delayed. I was hoping to have all my organizing done by mid-May and here we sit and it's still not finished. This week I have to go through the boxes in my backroom so my girlfriend can come get that room set up as a guest area. I can't take a chance on not knowing where to begin to look for some of the stuff that have been in those boxes - even though I haven't needed it in years (LOL - I hope you all KWIM on that stuff.) I need counseling for pack-rat syndrome.

My plans are to enjoy the end of my alone time with Ava. Enjoy some quality time with my sons. And hopefully do a little pampering for myself - get my hair done and my toes specially painted the week prior to the section - pink with white polka-dots (my nail tech's idea). I also want to get Ava over to Walmart for her final "alone" pics and some pics with me and the baby belly. I too am ready to exchange this constant uncomfortable feeling - especially at night - for my c-section pain that I can manage with Advil/Tylenol and know it will end after a few days.

Hope I can get industrious this coming week and be done with all the organizing, then the rest I should be able to endure till the end.

Right now, DS has a slight fever and has been running one since Thursday so I can't take him out yet--plus dang has he been grumpy. Carmen, it is good that you have a schedule of stuff to do. Here is my upcoming schedule:
may 19th - physical for DS for K.
May 21st - K orientation
May 22nd -Last appt to check BP and get GBS results
May 25th - Pick up Mom at the airport
May 27th - Pre-op and school picnic for DS
May 28th - C section

I'm starting to get really really uncomfortable and not sleeping. gah!

I hope Xander is doing well! Our card appt will likely be in June sometime and I'm going to miss it

Ok...that totally made me LOL for some reason. I instantly wondered if you're knitting or crocheting, too? (In reality, I'd love to learn one or the other but seem to have two left hands concerning them - my grandma tried to teach me as a teen, but I wasn't too successful. hehe)

I know the time will fly buy but I have mixed feelings about it. I really want to be done, but don't feel "ready" LOL. I don't really have anything purposly scheduled but here's how my schedule goes.

May:
18- church
19- 38w appt DD-preschool
21- DD last day of preschool
22- Lady's bible study at church / luncheon, mom coming into town (late)
23- DD's preschool graduation.
24- Huge Party at friends house (too bad I can't have a drink, oh well soon enough)
25- church
26- DD is in Memorial Day parade
27- 39w appt
28- Baby shower for a friend (hope I can make it)
Sometime between 27-30th I need to get DD scheduled for free hearing/vision test for next school
Think that is all I have up for May
June 2 is edd but other then that I don't think I have anything else scheduled until 3rd week of June

Well, see, I just now remembered that I have to go back to my school (yes, even though I've already graduated!) to do a cram study session on Tues. and Thurs. to prepare for my registration test. I also have a dr.'s appt. on Wed. so this week will be another that goes too quickly for me, esp. since dh returns to work tomorrow and I'll be by myself with Kylie for the 1st time in 6.5 weeks! I had completely forgotten the study sessions till a friend from school reminded me at my baby shower yesterday. Ugh! As if I didn't feel like time was going fast before!

Default Re: what are you doing (if anything) to make time go by faster?

I'd like to slow down time a little bit, LOL. I'm still working and plan to work right up until my due date. I have a ton of work to do to get my work stuff ready for the person who's going to cover for me while I'm out. And I haven't arranged my FMLA with personnel yet (so bad of me...) Then, two of my kids, Peter and Emily, are still in baseball season and that's always hectic. All three of the older kids get out of school after the first week of school, right around my due date. I haven't been able to get anything done to prepare for the new baby. I need to wash Dylan's old newborn size clothes and get them in the dresser, wash the infant car seat cover and get the base in the car, set up the cosleeper crib, buy new tubing, valves, etc. for my pump-in-style, get a double stroller, and retrieve the baby swing from my mom's house and get that set up. Oh, and wash the boppy pillow. I'm going to want that in the hospital. I've nursed 3 out of 4 babies with it and it's by far the easiest way for me to position the baby. I can nurse without it (I got pretty good breastfeeding Dylan in the bleachers at softball/baseball games, LOL.) But whoops, I digress...

So anyway, I have so much to do, I need more time, not less....

Wow you guys are so busy. I am just resting a lot after work and dont to too much.
It seems like you guys are running around every day! That is a lot of work.
I get home from work and want to lay down all night.
I am still working up until my due date but i sit at my desk all day and dont get up much except to go potty.
I am trying to do more yoga and squats to make this baby come faster. I am definately ready.

I just feel like time can't go any slower at this point! every day is dragging on so slow for me I am going crazy, I always feel like I get things done and ready for baby way too early and am left feeling like this for weeks with nothing left to do but the things that have to wait until after I have the baby.

I am having a harder time this time than I ever have, I am in so much more pain and so much bigger than ever before and am just ready to have her out!
