Updates!
So I have been having ctx since Fri and lost part of my plug (I think?) on Sat night and some on Sunday so I left a message with my dr today telling them about the ctx and about how I am seeing spots and getting dizzy a lot lately.
Well the nurse just called me back and wants me to go to L&D to be checked because I'm not sure if I lost part of my plug or not and if I did that means that I am dilating and they don't want me to have Avy so early.
Also I have been having a ton of pressure 'down there' when I sit on the potty, I feel like I am stretching out.
She wants to check me for Toxemia? I don't know what that is but apperantly the spots and dizzy spells could be a sign of that. She was going to have me come into the office tomorrow morning but she feels that I can't wait that long and I may have the baby by then? I don't know?
So I talked to Dh about what she told me to do and I always get nervous talking to him about these things because he works all night and doesn't get home until 10pm so he has to leave work to take me (I don't have a drivers licence and we only have one vehicle) He hates leaving work because he has such responcibility there, he is the night boss and has a ton to do and doesn't want to leave without it being done.
Anywho, he agreed that we should probably go to L&D but it will have to wait until later LOL, I can wait, I almost feel as if it is going to be a waist of time to go, I know I'm not in real labor but I would rather be safe than sorry.
I have NEVER once in all my kids went into labor on my own, even after my water broke with Zoie they had to start my labor, I have NEVER lost my mucose plug (that I know of) and I have NEVER felt this pressure in my nether regons before and I have never dilated either so this is all new for me.
I will update you when I get back whatever time that may be, I may just have to update tomorrow.

Re: Updates!
good luck - I hope it's not toxemia. And hopefully your little girl can stay in there and bake a little while longer.

Re: Updates!
Carman- Toxemia is pre-ecclampsia. Some dr's refer it as a few other names, but it is all the same thing.
Seeing spots can indicate high blood pressure, as well as being dizzy. Have you checked your BP by chance lately? I know when I see spots, it looks like fire flies. I get them more often in the shower (not sure why that is!!) but it is a pretty good indication to me that my BP is elevated.
Please let us know more as you find out... I will be sending positive thoughts and prayers your way

Re: Updates!
Better to be safe than sorry! It's better that they check you and dismiss any possible pre-e or toxemia. I hope you have an uneventful appointment.
Is there some other way you can get to the appt? A cab, a friend or a neighbor maybe? That way DH doesn't miss out on work and you can go in earlier rather than having to wait.

Re: Updates!
I am late to this post and do not know what happened, but please, please do not mess around with toxemia. IMO (I know it is easy to say), but it is best to get that checked out rather than wait. Even if you aren't really in labor, if you are developing signs of toxemia they may need to get the baby out now.
