Today was another looonngg appointment. I swear every time I have an appointment it is a 3 hour event. I had my ultrasound at 8:30am. All is good. Head is down, placenta is up. Baby is still measuring about 1 1/2 weeks big, but has been since week 12. Baby weighs aprox. 2 lbs. 4 oz. right now. Plenty of fluid. They had scheduled the ultrasound early, since normally they would have waited till 32 weeks because of only being 1 pound over my prepregnancy weight (spent first 22 weeks puking more than 3x a day, now it is more like every day or every other). Dr. wanted to make sure all was ok, and it is !!!!!
Also got to do the lovely 1 hours glucose test. Surprisingly not bad, especially since last time I did one of these was almost 9 years ago.
Unfortunitely I lost 2lbs. So now I am -1 pound overall. I eat, but I think having to eat small meals, due to 24 hour a day heart burn, and still getting sick, it just doesn't show. I also found out that there is a nationwide shortage of heparin right now. I have to take lovenox shots daily due to a clotting disorder. Because of this I am supposed to switch to heparin at week 36, or I will not be able to have an epidural. I really really want the epidural (I already paid my dues, 2 kids without, and 1 with - I really like the 1 with the epidural :-). So if there is still a shortage come 36 weeks, I will have to stay on the lovenox, and the doctor said we can schedule me to be induced a week or so early so I can stop the lovenox two days before. So we will see what happens.
Also finally had an answer for why I have had such horrible pelvic pain for last week nonstop. My pelvic bone has seperated and the two sides are rubbing when I walk. There is nothing that can be done, other than try a girdle, which may take a little pressure off, but doctor says as babies head grows it will just increase the pain.
Something tells me baby number four is supposed to be the final baby :-)
Thanks for listening to my fun day!
