Default Thought of another girl name (and boy too)

Thought of another girl name. Its very close to Kianna (pronounced key-on-ah). Kyanna or Kyana or Kaianna (pronounced ky-on-ah).
I could still go with Kianna but pronouncing 'ky' with it. I like the spelling on that one better than the others. Kaianna is a close second. And I like the 'ky' sounding better than the 'key' now.

The other boy name thought of...Kierdan/Kierden. Still leaning towards Kyler, but that can all change.

I just noticed that all my kids will then have a 'k' sound in their names.

Yeah, I think you and I both like that K and/or C sound in names. I will have a Kylie and a Cohen, lol!

My oldest had a Kya in his class- cute name for a girl. I like both pronunciations of Kianna . It is such a pretty name.

I like Keirdan of course because it is close to Keiran- which is an Irish name. I like Kyler alot too. Another name I like is Tiernan- which is also Irish...and also Kealan. Those are all Irish

I like your name choices, very unique and pretty.

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.

Yeah, I am a huge fan of Irish names for some reason. Kylie is Irish (or Australian, depending on who you ask) and Cowan is Irish...but we are spelling it Cohen which is the Jewish spelling...but still the same Irish sound overall.

That's funny - I had to have my K and finally got her the third time around. We're considering a C more than anything else this time around.

BTW, I really like Kyler (but then, I have Kiley...so I guess that figures) and Kianna/Kyana. If you prefer the "on-uh" sound, you might have a better chance of people pronouncing it right with one 'n'. Funny, too, that two of my cousin's DDs are Kyra (pronounced 'Keyr-uh') and Anna (pronounced the typical way - with the short A).

Ooooh! I like the Cowen spelling.. I wonder if people would pronounce it COW-an (like the animal)?

That is why we are going with the Jewish spelling. I live in Mississippi and I can certainly see people pronouncing it like COW-an here! I like the Cowan/Cowen spelling too though but think Cohen will be a little easier for people here...though I can also see some people pronouncing it like Co-HEN, lol!

For anyone on here that doesn't know how to pronounce it...it is like the words co + in. The h is silent in Cohen.

Well, Tasha/Emuone...if people do that, you'll have the cutest little babies that were ever seen on any farm I've been to -- and baby farm animals are adorable (we recently visited some newborn baby goats)! At one point when we played with the name, I suggested Coen to DH (thinking of 'cow' and 'hen' like you mentioned with the other variations) and he said, "What?...Cone?" Ahhhh...can't win! For pronunciation purposes, I would think Cohen is probably the best bet. I've seen it spelled that way several times. Of course, there's the ice skater, Sasha Cohen, and her name is pro. the same way. Once fame is attached to a name, you're probably safe in it being said right.

Yeah- people still call my son Karen. It isn't KAREN it is Keiran...like hear (starting with K) an. Or think of EAR then put a K in front...rhymes with pier. Keiran. LOL

But I know people who have problems pronouncing easy names too.

Yeah, my name has been mispronounced sooo many times I have lost count. And those that do say it right, spell it wrong. The ones that pronounce it right tend to spell it like Tosha. Drives me nuts!

My mom's name is Myra and people have called her Mirror or Mere ruh a lot. I don't think Myra is all that hard (said like it is spelled...my + ruh.) That's why I say I see the name Cohen getting mispronounced and misspelled a lot here but I still like it enough to deal with it.

And, Melissa, I had thought about Coen as well but I also thought of people pronouncing that like cone or Coin. Cohen seemed safest to me overall.

Up here, youll probably hear Co-HEN. But I like your way on saying it better.

Up here, youll probably hear COE-wen.

for having the inital decision set on first names!!! Hopefully the middle names will come easily. Will you look for a name from the family or something totally random?

Probably just random so people (dh's side) don't have a hissy fit and be jealous, mad, and wondering why not so-and-so, or me, or her, or him. You get the pic, ugh.
Isaac is the only one that has a family name. His middle name is David which is both mine and dh's dad's first name.
