I actually got a little time to go off by myself and read (HypnoBirthing, to be exact!) before my DH had to leave for work today. Well, after awhile he came into the bedroom where I was and laid down on the bed next to me. He pulled my shirt up a little (not TMI, I promise), looked at and felt my belly and told me how cute it was... He then went on to say how amazed he was that there is a whole little baby in there (never gets old!) and that the last quick u/s (at the new OB last week) had really struck him. That truly tickled me!

He's not a charismatic-type and has always been reserved emotionally (which he regularly admits), so such a moment will be in my heart forever.
He's left for work for the day now and I've got a long day ahead, but those few moments of gazing in each other's eyes so unexpectedly (kids making noise in the other room

) makes such a day more than worthwhile...a real blessing, in fact. (Remind me of that at chaotic bath/bedtime...haha) I had been feeling pretty depressed and now am seeing the sunshine.
Anyway...didn't mean to gush...just wanted to share about my sweet guy. I had no idea how touched he was at the last u/s. He was squished in the corner with both girls on him and the boys on either side. I honestly thought he was too distracted to tune-in that day. But, nope. I love him so much!
P.S. - We both got some "newborn practice" in last night, too...Ellie was up for hours...not sick, just up. And we still had it in us to homeschool this morning and be sweet to each other. haha
