Those big babies are good eaters! Breylan was 8 lbs 15 oz and breast fed like a champ! Here is a hint- your milk will come in faster if you JUST breast feed and don't supplement. Just nurse her. Eat oatmeal too. She WILL get enough! Breylan was exclusively breastfed (as were all of my kids) and he was 20 lbs at 6 months. Heck he was 10 lbs at one week!!!!! But the more you feed her and the longer, the more hindmilk she will get and she'll be nice and healthy...and not starving.

Congrats- maybe you can try for a VBAC, should you ever want to have a baby again!

She is a beauty!

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening.After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.

She is gorgeous, and I am SO jealous that you were able to get to bf her so soon. Congrats to you and your dh...welcome to the world Krista!

Sorry you ended up having to have a c/s - I know you wanted a natural "earthy" birth. But at least you are both healthy. Her name is very pretty and she is just adorable. With my c/s it seemed like the pain was going to be impossible to tolerate - the first several days were very miserable but by a week it was so much better! I hope you feel better soon

Wow, your birth story reminds me a lot of mine when I had Kate. I was in labor for 36 hours though and it ended with a c-section. I felt a bit robbed which is why it was so important for me to have a VBAC this time. But at least you are now holdin your little girl! Krista must have heard you say you wanted a July 4th baby and held out for you!
