Icon13 a sad story (well sad for me and quite embarassing)

I will tell you my sad and rather embarassing story
Last night about 630pm I got out my beading things to make a few new braceletts for Zailee and the older girls, I was sitting on the floor doing that and I also had to change Xander's diaper so I put my beads away so I could change him, by now it was almost 730pm. I pulled my legs up so I could stand up ( I was leaning against the couch, so I was also trying to use my arms) But when I got my legs up and was sitting just on my tail bone and those bones I sneezed!!! I pinched a nerve and popped my pelvic bones, it took me a minute to catch my breath because the pain was so bad and when I did, I went to get up and couldn't move my legs, the pain was unbearable, I could move my right leg a little but couldn't move my left leg at all without pain shooting across my lower back and down my leg. Great I pinched my Ciatica!!
I tried until about 830pm to get up off the floor and then broke down and called Dh at work, by this time I was bawling uncontrolably and my kids were scared that I was hurt and so they were fighting and crying and it was just making me cry more out of frusteration.
Anyways so I called Dh at work and when he answered all I could get out was
"I'm Stuck!!"
Dh says "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm stuck and it hurts!"
"Are you stuck in the Tub again?"
"NO! I'm stuck on the floor!!"
"What do you want me to do, do you want me to come home?"
"I don't know, I just need help, it hurts too bad to move my legs!"
"Well I still have to lock up and turn off all the lights and then I will be on my way."
"Ok whatever."
So around 915pm he finally gets home and helps me get up but I still had problems with my left leg all night long and can still feel it today
I was stuck on the floor for so long and I had to pee so bad and the kids were scared and Xander didn't get his bum changed until after I got up and pee'd, I feel so bad for them and so embarassed that I got so stuck because of a sneeze!!

But on a good note, I got my sling in the mail yesterday and thought I would try it out on Xander, I was going to add pics but my computer isn't cooperating, I will show the pictures as soon as my computer starts working.

OMG poor dear! I can only imagine how crazy things got when you and the kiddos were all flipping out. Good thing your dh was just a phone call away.

You had me laughing at "Are you stuck in the Tub again?"!!!

How are you feeling today?

I know that was terrible - but I have to admit I chuckled at the tub comment too. For me, sneezes invariably mean peeing my pants, even when I don't feel like I have to go. Sorry you were in so much pain and were stuck in that position for so long. Hope you are feeling better as the day goes on and that the kids weren't too traumatized.

I am so sorry you went through that, and glad you shared. I am beginning to have difficulty getting up from the floor myself. I work in pediatric therapy, and you try to meet your client where they are at, which is usually on the floor. Already several times I have found myself rocking side to side just so I could get out of the position I am in.

Thanks for sharing.

Okay first Im @ the "Are you stuck in the tub again".

OWIE! You poor thing. And for that long being stuck. Hope youre feeling better today.

The other day my hips almost gave out on me (along with the sciatica pain). I almost fell. My bent knees saved me. My hands caught them in time to save me from going over.

I was also waiting for a peeing accident part when you mentioned sneezing but didn't see it. I would have done that for sure.

That was the only lucky part was that I didn't pee my pants when I sneezed LOL
as for the tub comment, I get stuck in the tub at least 2 times a week but Dh should know by now I only get it if he is home or if he will be home within 15min or so LOL
The kids got over it but Zoie keeps reminding me not to sit on the floor because when I was crying it made her sad (AAWWW)
I am feeling a little better today, I can move, walk and do things on my own with only minimal pain.

You poor woman! Yeah- that would have stunk worse if you peed your pants!
I can't laugh for getting stuck in the tub because my 90 year old grandma got stuck in the tub for 5 days last year! She lived by drinking water from the faucet. Her legs would not get her out. I can't believe it! The other thing that saved her is that she's overweight...she couldn't eat for 5 days- her body fat saved her! Sure she was hungry but at least her body had something...it was crazy!

So I can imagine how frustrated you were! Sorry didn't mean to hijack! Hope the leg/back feels better!

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.
