i figure im the only weird one in the world to like this stuff, so i thought u guys would get a kick out of it.

every single time when im pregnant, right around the end of the second trimester, beginning of the third, i HAVE to smell comet and a certain type of body powder..

every day i have to clean something with comet and smell it, just the powder brand, not the liquid and at least twice a day i HAVE to put TONS of this body powder on all over me..... i go through a large container every few days...

once i have the baby, i dont mess with it at all.

in fact, that is how i told dh i was pregnant, i bought a thing of comet and that particular powder , put it in a gift bag and told him i bought him a little something.....he knew immediately when he saw it. lol.

im thinking its a weird form of pica but i dont know since i dont have the urge to eat or taste it...

That's definitely different, Lisa! I just eat all kinds of sugary foods! I would love to have the desire to clean though!

I LOVE the smell of Lemon Lysol!!! I have to smell it every day!! It's better than wanting to eat weird things, like when I was pg with either Magi or Xander (don't remember) I craved Baking Soda!!!! EEWWW!
OOHH and Vanilla Candles!!!! All over my house!!

LOL! Me, on the other hand? I hate that bleachy smell of powdered Comet. My mom was (is) a clean fa-reak and used it all the time when I was growing up. I hate getting that smell stuck on my hands!

P.S. - Try not to sniff that powder up too close! I used to powder my babies after baths until I read about the loose particles getting in their lungs. I'm such a worrywort that I stopped doing that most of the time afterwards. (I'm sure you're fine...I just get paranoid myself so thought I'd throw a "Be Careful" in there for ya!)

Oh...when I stopped doing the actual powdering, I switched to baby powder scented lotions. I love that smell, too!
