The cold that began in my head but then seemed to all but disappear yesterday ended up coming back full throttle overnight and is now moving into my chest. If I end up with the horrible cough I usually get with this, I don't know how I'll manage it with the pubic symphysis pain? The idea scares me to death. Anything sharp or sudden "jiggling" down there is a nightmare right now. I cannot imagine several days/nights of a chronic cough with it.
P.S. - Other SPD suffering mamas: I talked to another pregnant mom (due on Sat with her fifth) yesterday who said she's dealt with this awful pain before really badly in a previous pregnancy. Her Dr. told her to drink Gatorade to replenish her electrolytes. She said she thought he was just blowing smoke, but she tried it and did find some relief. Needless to say, I've been drinking it since last night even though I don't really like it and prefer not to take in the extra sugar via juice. I'm still in pain, but think I might be noticing slight improvement so thought I'd pass this info along. I'm looking into a chiro and doing lots of pelvic tilts on my hands and knees, too. I'll try about
anything to get a break from this ongoing pain. (As long as it's safe for my baby, of course!)
