Well we finally got around to painting the nursery. Or should I say my mother-in-law offered to have someone paint it for us since she's scared the paint fumes may harm the baby. She is such a riot. I swear I couldn't ask for a better MIL -- I say that now let's see what happens when baby is here.

Anyway, so here is the results from yesterday's work. A 2nd coat of pink will go up along with the 2nd stripe color which is like a cafe au lait color. We also have chair rail going up!



Notice that we finally have the furniture, *but* it's still in boxes. LOL! We're waiting for the paint to dry to start on that.

I remember my MIL offered to paint the nursery (ds#1) because of the fumes. Her and dh painted while I got to rest.

That is going to be adorable! I can just envision it with the chair railing. Is your additional strip going to go vertically or horizontally across the top of the vertical stripes or at the top?

The stripes all stay below the chair rail. The cafe au lait color takes the place of the white in the picture. Of course the lines will be a lot cleaner than they are now. I can't wait to get home to see the finished product.

Can't wait to see the finished product as well! And then when you get the furniture up and the bedding on. Have you found the bedding you like yet? I know you were struggling with that a while back.
