So I had my BPP yesterday and got to watch Presley doing her "practice breathing" for a little while. My doc always stops on that and their faces, if they are doing something cute. This was just a B&W (2D I'm pretty sure) yet you could see her chubby cheeks and her lips, nose, etc... Not just the bony structures, KWIM? She was also opening and closing her mouth, sticking out what appeared to be her tongue, etc... But that wasn't the neatest thing.
Last night I'm sitting in a chair in DH's living room, when I look feel something moving slightly under my hand. I look down at my belly over on the side where her back showed to be during the u/s yesterday. My tummy is moving, like a person's chest/back rises and falls when they are breathing. It was very rhythmic and smooth - not like hiccups or kicks at all. You had to watch it more than being able to feel it. I guess I only felt it, because I could feel it both inside and outside at the same time. I've never noticed this with any of my other kiddos. I just watched it for a long time. It was peaceful. I could imagine her laying there sleeping peacefully. It probably sounds corny and other people have probably experienced it before; but it was a first for me and I just had to share about it. Thanks for putting up with my rambling. LOL
I just recently felt that with this baby, which is good and more reassuring-kwim. So not corny. This was my first time feeling that too. Precious thing to share.
We got an u/s pic of the baby's face, mouth open, showing the tongue as well. Goofy but cute looking, LOL!!!

No Angela, he didn't turn up the sound yesterday. As a matter of fact, he didn't listen to heart tones either, just looked at her little heart beating away. I'm going to ask to hear it next week though. The last 2 appts, the HR was slower than it normally has been (130's and then 120's) - even though I know those are still within normal ranges, she was always in the 150's and low 160's earlier on.
Ryann's HR has been lower as well... I think that happens later in pregnancy though. Because once they are born, I think their HR continues to lower....
that is just so neat! I would definitely get excited about that.
I have never even thought about that being possible.
We got to see Cara's face at our u/s today...so precious. And I was excited when the tech pointed out her hair since me and my daughter had just been talking about whether Cara would have some when she was born (actually, we were talking about how Cara could look when born). The tech even seemed excited to show us the hair...lol.

How cool is that? Had it been me, I probably would have screwed up the moment by jumping up to grab the camera and video-clip it...then baby would have 'moved' on. There definitely is some truth to just 'being still' sometimes. What a wonderful memory to have!
