Default Hospital Bag...second time 'round

So since there is a lot of second + time moms here I thought it would be fun do a spin on the Hospital bag discussion.
What did you forget the first time 'round that you will bring this time?
What was something you were glad you brought and will pack again...your must have?

For me:
forgot:
~DH stuff! I ended up with a C-sec and our hospital requires someone to room-in with you (the baby stays with you so it's in case you can't get out of bed). It was about 2am by the time we got back to our room and he had no clothes to sleep in (lounge clothes), no pillow, toothbrush or anything. This time I'll be sure to pack him some sleepover items!! Poor guy!
~cell phone. We didn't have one at the time but this time we will bring one.
~video camera. Ours was broken and I regret not having video...

must have:
~a swaddler for baby. We were given one at the hospital and it was so handy...especially since the hospital blankets are so starchy/scratchy!
~flip flops.
~my own pj's. I felt so much better in my own clothes!

Items I want to make sure not to forget- my own nightgown, cough drops (just in case, because coughing HURTS when you've just given birth), a magazine or two to read, swaddler for the baby.

Lurking from DIN- Last time we didn't have a video camera and I really wish we had so will definitely bring one this time and my absolute must have is Depends!!! A friend recommended them to me and they were wonderful!! Way more comfortable than those mesh underwear they give you and A LOT more protection as far as bleeding all over your clothes, I took my own jammies and did not ruin any of them with blood stains!!!

All that is in my bag is a going home outfit for me and the baby, socks, undies, pads, nursingbra, slippers, and a list of needs that we still need. The rest is what I need daily (like toiletries) or whatever else (like cell phone, and camera).

I should get the boys' ready but most is what is needed daily too so I guess we will pack as Im in labor or just take them the way they are and give he keys to my parents, depending on what time of day labor starts, and have them take care of that.

Whatever we forget, its an easy 3-5 min drive home (all stop signs, no stop lights or train tracks). And about the same tme to stores if we need to buy somehing that is needed.

this is my fourth go round but i remember the first time we forgot to bring a baby blanket and ended up taking the hospitals and we only bought one baby outfit and it swallowed will up! poor guy.

id say a must have would be hand sanitizer to hand out to guests before they hold my baby, some lip balm , a list of people to call, a calling card, change for the machines......

i never have bought my own night clothes, mainly because i dont have any.... i either sleep in sweats or tshirt or nothing at all, and i refuse to buy night clothes just for the hospital and then they get ruined.

oh yeah, i always pack a good writing pen, there is a lot of paper work to fill out after u have a baby.

In actually just unpacked my bag yesterday - I had it packed since I was about 34 weeks and I kept needing stuff out of it so I just decided to unpack it until the induction on the 18th. I will just pack my PJs, and toiletries - we live so close to the hospital plus my husband will be going back and forth to check on the kids so he can grab whatever I need. Oh one thing I learned after the first time - to bring my own pillow!!! The hospital ones are flat and yucky.

I have my bag packed by my DH does not. I will throw some stuff in my bag for him since he is last minute.
I will make a list for the refrigerator for a reminder for us or in case i go into labor and i am not at home my mom can go to my house and get my bag and everything on the list.

I am bringing my boppy pillow this time and gifts and snacks for my daughter.

The first time around, I brought wayyyyyyyy too much stuff. It was like going on vacation. I even brought my breast pump. Including an inflatable bed for DH (I've asked DH to sneak in some champagne this time )

Ooooh, do tell about the girdle! Is it the thing Brooke Burke promotes? My g/f bought one online and was given the wrong size and since they won't take refunds she never got to use it...bummer, she was my ginny pig!

I get the belly binder from the hospital after the c-sec and just buy my girdle from target or walmart making sure that it goes clear up under my bbs so that it won't roll down and hurt my incision. I don't think I know about the one that brooke promotes.

I have heard about the girdle that Brooke Burke sells on her website.
It is not necessarily for c-sections but for post baby to keep tummy tucked in and somehow keep you looking thin. It seems like it would hurt and you wouldnt be able to breath.
