I hate the thought of buying anything with only 4 weeks left but then again I can't imagine wearing pants for the next month. I'm totally the Wicked Witch...I'm melting! I'm melting!!!!!! Maybe tomorrow I'll lop off my jeans and make me capri's...lol!

We got a/c today

So what does baby wear to bed when it's this hot? I can't remember!!! lol!

Hey Amanda, I'm the one from Langley, today was BRUTAL!!!! I was better off inside then outside.

If I remember correctly you are in Alberta right Nicole? I know what you mean about buying summer stuff this late in the game. Trevor was an October baby so most of the stuff from the summer with him doesn't really fit ...... nothing really fits anymore even my winter stuff....yuck!!!!!

I didn't really want to buy any more maternity clothes this late in the game either but I was dying from the heat. We live in Mississippi and it is HOT here so I caved. I ordered some summer maternity stuff and it came in last week. Thankfully it should be the last time I buy maternity clothes for a LONG time!

As far as what the baby sleeps in, well, Kylie was born in the very beginning of May and it was already hot here by then so we kept the a/c on at home. So we didn't really have to worry about her getting too hot and just put her in whatever we wanted, I think. We also swaddled her in the beginning.

I'm in the same boat here - busting out of my smaller stuff...and most of it is too hot. I did get a shirt for my shower tomorrow, but have no clue what I'm wearing on the bottom half? Denim capris are about it...ugh. Guess I'll have to get something today...? Ugh, again... It gets hard at this stage.

I've had one June baby before, but it was almost 12 years ago. During sleep times, I remember putting him in the lighter sleep 'n' play footed sleepers and using a light receiving blanket to swaddle him. Once you figure in the a/c, there is enough of a "chill" to do lighter long sleeves indoors. For this baby, I do have several really cute onesies (outfit-type) and outfits that are more "summery"...I can either layer over them or use blankets as needed. I plan to do a lot of babywearing, too (pouch sling early on), and that will keep baby cozy.

I have a few "spring/summer" tops from my PG with Ava and since I was much heavier in the beginning, I had to get them while it was still warm in Texas - even though I had her in December. I also bought 3 tank tops off ebay a while back, just because I was actually thinking ahead at the time and they were a steal. So although I have to keep wearing the same ones over and over, I can be cooler than in pants and sleeves or DH's t-shirts around the house. I also had bigger capris from Ava too. I guess there's a good part to living in the south where our weather hardly ever turns bitterly cold. Heck we sell Santa and other Christmas t-shirts down here because it's likely to be in the 70's or higher in December and sometimes beyond that.

I'm already running the a/c full force, so baby will wear gowns and sleepers; because I have to be cool at night to sleep well and I don't want her getting cold. Ava was a blanket kicker and was constantly uncovered, so I used sleepers a lot to make sure her little feet stayed warm.

Ya I'm from good ole Lethbridge, Alberta!!! lol!
Hey do you other Canadians know about the bottle promo at Zellars? I went through all of Katie's stuff a few weeks ago and throw out about 4 huge ziplock bags worth of Avent, Playtex etc etc bottles. I found out about 2 days after the garbage was picked up that Zellars will give you a FULL refund no matter the age of the bottle!!!!! My g/f took her bottles to a Zellars in Richmond and got $150.00!!!! Are you kidding me, just my luck!! So FYI if you have old bottles laying around...

I was thinking last night (while I was sweating to death...our a/c must not be set high enough) that even if I bought a pair of mat shorts right now....I could still wear them post baby Might be hitting Thyme today!

Cut the pants short and buy some LARGE or XLARGE tshirts on sale. I may or may have not been doing this as well.

Not sure if any of you have garage/yard sales in your area but they are in full force around here. That might be a good alterative to get a few summery mat things to get you buy. I totally could understand not wanting to buy anything this late in the game. I lucked out and all my pgncy's have been the same time of year. Just yesterday at two different garage sales people tried to sell me mat clothes. I had to say sorry I've only got two weeks left and this is my last baby.
