Had minor surgery today

Yep....that's right - no baby, but minor surgery. Not sure if any of you read my post to Jamie about my hemorrhoids. I was in so much pain - I have never felt pain like this. I don't cry often, but last night I broke down and lost it. Tim knew I was in pain. I up all night, in pain. I would get in the tub, walk, use ice packs, back in the tub, and so on. DH put a call in to our OB this morning. Our Dr. wanted us to come in. I had a blood clot in one of the hemorrhoids and of course it needed to be removed. He cheched me and I am now 4cm and 90% effaced. At first he thought about letting me have the baby today. I would have had an epi and after the baby was born the surgen would have come in and delt with the blood clot. In the end he decided to wait on the delivery and sent me to a surgen. I had to have a shot to numb the alredy painful area and he then removed the blood clot. I am home now resting and in pretty much pain. I pray it will feel better before I have to deliever. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow....full term. I have never carried a baby to full term. Not sure what to do with myself! One of these days I will come here and announce the birth of my baby and not the birth of a hemorrhoid!!!!

I am so sorry that you went through that! I pray too that tomorrow will start to bring a relief from the pain!

So sorry to hear about your ordeal. I remember the hemis after my daughter was born....sheer torture. They were WAY worse than my tear! I've already started to feel the hemis come back as I get closer to birth...oh joy!!!! Hope you're feeling better soon!

OWIE. Glad you got that out of the way. I too hop it feels better and heals well and ast before you deliver.

YAY for 4cm. Sounds like your about to go anytime/any second.

you poor thing. I suffer from some pretty severe bottom problems as well and I'm all too familiar with the sleepless nights - I alternate hot bath, tucks pads and ice cubes and it still hurts like the dickens. I hope it gets better for you after baby. I plan on having something done after this kiddo is born, it's miserable to deal with pain down there.
