This afternoon, I "finally" had my 1st dr appt. I was so nervous. But there was nothing to be nervous about. After the "formalities" of the appt, (questions, and more questions), I had to endure the pap smear before I could hear my baby. The nurse told me right away that I will not be getting a u/s until 20 wks. Darn!
My dr warned me left & right about the possibility of NOT being able to hear the baby's heartbeat at 11 wks, but she found the heartbeat right away. I was so thrilled and I took a huge breath.
Then, I asked, "do you think there's a slight possibility that I might be feeling the baby move already?"
She told me no, of course not, it's way to early to feel baby move.
Then, she was poking around, feeling my uterus and she said, "unless you are further along than 11 wks."
Evidently, my uterus feels a bit bigger for 11 wks, so guess what!?! I get an u/s on Friday, to check for my EDD.
I'm so excited and happy for today's appt. Now I just have to wait until Friday to see how far along I am.
