Default Feeling Yucky Today

I don't want to complain, but...UGH!

I'm sleeping terribly. When I do, it's either on my right (until it hurts my shoulder/hip too badly to stay that way - body pillow or not) or sitting up with mounds of pillows behind me. Turning (or shall I say heaving myself in pain) to my left brings on this disgusting reflux issue and has for weeks now - very frustrating! Not sure what's up with that, but it's awful...so I usually need to avoid my left.

Last night, my SPD pain was at a manageable level, so I was trying to do a very modified and light few minutes of aerobics, but kept feeling lots of cervical pressure. I think the baby's a couple of shakes from falling out; s/he's so low. It was driving my DH nuts so I quit. I thought it might help me to actually sleep better in the long run. Oh well. I then started having pressure down low, some maybe (?) ctx (baby was pressing, but there was definitely some tightening, too), and a low backache. I took a shower and then had my DH push and knead really hard on my lower back. That helped some. Then I resorted to tv until I fell asleep. A couple of pee breaks later, I woke up for the day with a horrible headache that I still have...and neck/shoulder pain. My constipation also decided to turn back to "emptying out" as well. (TMI, sorry) That's been happening for awhile now.

So...no clear signs...just all of this little stuff happening to make me feel awful. What fun! On a happy note, my cold that began 3.5wks ago seems to have finally left other than just a tad of congestion.

I really, desperately want to make it past Father's Day. I'm still waiting on a few things for the birth/baby (wants not needs, but still...) to be delivered and Kiley's first dance recital is on Sunday. We just got her costume picked up last Sunday and she is so excited! I can't miss it! (They're not releasing the DVD of the show until next Jan! Of course, even it if were earlier, it sure wouldn't be the same. And no personal flash photog/video is allowed. If I missed it, I'd truly miss it. )

Thanks for bearing with my whine. I feel both hungry and sick now. I guess hungry's going to win...hopefully eating won't make me feel worse.

Oh Melissa I am so sorry! I honestly thought you would have had your little angel by now! 15 days to go? I bet you feel yucky!
Can you just do me one favor?
STOP doing aerobics!
Even if it is for a few minutes, I am sure it doesn't help the cervical pain.
I say that you take the baby with you and nurse under a sheet the whole time you are there if you do go before Sunday, or tell DH to illegally slip in a video recorder for the show! And of course I think Miss Kiley would not mind giving mama her own private show at home. You could make the whole family get dressed up for it and get her flowers too!
Keep us posted.

I could kind of tell that Hunter was dropping too because I felt that cervical pressure. I did aerobics until about a week before I had her and I last worked out last Wednesday! (I mean I did weights and some cardio on the sitting bikes.) I did that Wednesday, had a massage Thursday and a baby on Saturday.

I also felt yucky the day I went into labor!

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.

Oh my fellow recital-in-waiting mama...I feel your pain...literally!
I woke up with a headache today after being up so many times last night. I can also only sleep on my right side (until the hip pain makes me turn partially onto my back on top of pillows) and the cycle begins again.
I hope you will make it through the next 5 full days!
I have to make it past Saturday the 21st for the same reason.
It bugs me that they don't allow photography/videography so they can sell us the DVDs...but what can you do?
Did you also have to buy tickets? I was pretty surprised they charge for the tickets...and that it's reserved seating! All for a kid's recital.

Brandie - Short of the baby being born right when she's having her recital, I'd be there! (Listen to me 'talk big') However, I'd hope to not be pushing the baby out at noon and sitting at her performance at 2:00. Ok...pratically-speaking, guess that I really need to 'at least' not go Sat or Sun.

Arwen - Talk about stressful, huh? We got two 'free' tickets...haha...yea, right...they weren't exactly free, they were just tied-in to the expensive package including her costume and fees. Crazy, I know! We did have to buy one for my mom. I'm so irritated that it's over half a year before the DVD is even avail, too. Of course, we didn't know that until just recently.

I hope you ladies make it to your dd's recitals. My dd's was on Sunday and my OB's dd goes to the same ballet school. He was sitting two rows behind me so if I had gone into labour, I would have been in good hands!

I am sorry that you are having such a hard time. As a fellow PSD sufferer, I am right there with you. I am to the point that everything hurts, sitting, laying, walking. IT just hurts. And when I finally get to lay at night, it is soooo sore I can't fall asleep. My indegestion also gets in the way with major reflux going on.

Hang in there, the doctor's keep telling me there will be a serious decrease in pain once the baby is out!

I am so sorry you are feeling yucky. I have been feeling the same way off and on. However oddly enough my PSD is actually feeling better if that is believeable. Ithknk the swimming is actually paying off. i hope you make to the date you like.

Melisa and Arwen.... I had to pay for both days of the recital because she has to be in both and the tickets are 18 a piece. No free tickets for anyone I guess. On top of the costume, pictures and video it has turned out to be quite the pricey event. they do not allow cameras/camcorders in the event here either Hoep you both make it to the recital. Isabella's is this coming saturday and Sunday.....hoping baby stays on board. I was hoping he was coming last weekend, but now I am anxious and wat to wait for his arrival till after the weekend.

I'm sorry you had such a crummy day. I hope you are feeling better today and that your sweet litttle baby will hold off until after Kiley's dance recital. I don't have PSD but I've been having a lot of sciatic nerve pain down my right side. It seems to attack me no matter if I'm sitting, laying or standing. I've almost fallen several times because of it. At least we are all nearing the end now. Thank goodness! Hang in there.

I have to say that a Saturday (just not this next one) would be ideal because it would mean the whole next week and weekend off for my DH. I'd love for him to have that much time off! I have this complex, though, that I'd like to have the baby on an "even" day since my DH and I and all of our kids so far have 'even day' birthdays. Of course, that's TBD by the baby. I've had the 18th and the 24th in my head, but those aren't on Sat. My oldest DS is the 20th and my DH is the 22nd, so I'd like a new day for the baby (oh yeah...still doesn't matter...baby comes when baby comes - haha)...hmmm...the 28th is a Sat, but, based on my inability to sleep very well right now, that seems so far away!
