Encouraging News...long
First off, the high risk doctor did NOT see this as a major issue!
She said, most often, that this type of problem resolves and that the amniotic sac usually re-adheres, but since there had been a little bit of bleeding between the sac and the uterine wall it would take a little longer since the blood had to reabsorb first. She also told me that the seperation didn't look to be as severe as my doctor had thought (of course my dr didn't see anything but a couple of pictures from the u/s, this doctor actually scanned me to look at it after the tech did the measurements of the baby). There was also a small pool of blood in the amniotic fluid, but she was unconcerned about this. I guess if it's ingested, it just gets passed...
They had told my dr that I was at a higher risk for preterm labor and that bedrest would only help me in that case. But they didn't even bring it up today. They did say they're going to recommend to my dr that I have another u/s in a few weeks to check on it and also the growth of the baby. The high risk doctor wants to go with a due date based off of my LMP, which she said would be June 19th...my dr had always said the 21st. Weird. But that also means the baby is measuring on the small side (which is the reason for checking the baby's growth on the next u/s....but I have a lot of short aunts/great aunts and my husband's family isn't tall...so they said the baby could just be a small baby because of that). But they want to make sure the growth remains steady and doesn't decline. I say they're off on my due date!! So, at my next dr's appointment which is 2/27 unless my dr wants to make it sooner, I'm going to have a 'serious' talk with my dr about my due date...lol.
This has turned out very long, sorry about that. This is, I guess, all the most important info on me and baby Cara. Yes, she is still a girl!! Oh, and she was having a blast playing with her feet today...it was SO cute! It even tickled the u/s tech .
Thank you everybody for your thoughts and prayers! We appreciate it so very much!

Re: Encouraging News...long
That all sounds very encouraging. I'm so glad they are going to stay on top of things and watch carefully and monitor the baby closely. Still keeping my that you don't have to resort to bedrest, but I'm sure if you will take it as easy as possible you could probably help ward that possibility off. Take care of you and Baby Cara. Thanks for the detailed update!

Re: Encouraging News...long
That's wonderful news!!! Really positive! Woohoo! It's great that you can now have some peace of mind and enjoy your pregnancy. Hopefully you'll get to stay off of bedrest, too. Baby Cara sounds like a mover and a shaker. It is so cute watching them grab their feet, etc. It's making me want to go in for another u/s right now - LOL!

Re: Encouraging News...long
Yes it's good news to hear! But the due date only changed by 2 days- that is really common at this point. At my u/s he said it was measuring to June 13. I just go by the LMP date- June 12. To me, a day or two or three isn't that big of a deal...if it was a week or two you might have to get a little nervous! lol I am sure the baby will grow just fine= sounds like she is happy and doing well in there. I'd stick with your due date of June 21st...because I bet more than anything she will catch up by the next u/s.

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.

Re: Encouraging News...long
Francine -
Well, I guess overall it's only changed two days, but the kinda funny and frustrating at the same time way we got there was this...the due date has gone from June 21st to the 27th back to the 21st and then to the 24th (which I didn't know that part, but had funny enough decided to go with it on my own from my 15 week u/s) and now to the 19th with them saying it never should have been changed, but I was never told I was due on June 19th until today!
Talk about confusing! It would be wonderful if the baby would catch up just to put all of this to rest! Lol!

Re: Encouraging News...long
I am so glad to hear that things look better than first thought. My prayers are still going out to you for a quick recovery and that things heal up nicely and that you can still get plenty of rest.
Just a suggestion that worked well for me with Xander when I had the placental abruption and this pregnancy with the SCH, take some Yarrow, it will help you heal from the inside and it helps strengthen the womans uterus in preperation for birth. If you want to that is, you don't have to but I thought I would suggest it because it worked so well for me.
