okay, we are all going to have late spring/early summer babies, so who knows where i can find a bathing suit to fit a baby smaller then a year old????? also, what is the earliest that its safe to a) put sunscreen on baby and b) have baby in pool with us......

not to mention, i know we will all be um bleeding quite heavily for a while, but do we have to wait until our 6 week pp checkup to get in the pool or just until things calm down there a bit. ?

i remember just shading my other kids from the sun until about 6 mths or so, but i dont know what the recommended ages are for all of this


okay, all three of my kids have gotten a different "free" similac diaper bag from the hospital and i was wondering what this year's looks like.... i personally liked them all, my sister thought they look cheesey. however, i havent bought the diaper bag i want yet, so im hoping that i truly like the newest similac one. i tried looking on their site but i couldnt find a pic of the actual db. thanks.

I don't think you can get in the swimming pool until you stop bleeding - unless it's your own personal home pool in which case I guess you'd have to ask your doctor. Regarding babies, I don't think you are supposed to put sunscreen on them until they are older than 6 months old so I had pretty much resigned myself to waiting until next summer. I was planning on taking my older daughter to the pool and leaving the baby home with dh. It's SO hot in Texas anyway and we have so many mosquitos that I don't really want to take the baby out anyway

I started taking Logan swimming at our public pool( which is indoor) when he was 3 months old. He now LOVES the water and is a great swimmer at 2 years old!! As for outside i was told by my doc, no sunscreen under 6 months as they have no proof of any negitive effects it could have, because no one will test it on an infant. So just stay in the shade as much as possible.

I also taking Sadie swimming at 2 or three months old.
We just took her in the late evening when the sun wasnt too hot.
I have heard about not putting sun screen on them until 6 month old also. So we will be sitting in the shade a lot this summer.
We have a community pool so i will be in there as soon as i am done bleeding. I have also read that you could tear your stiches from doing laps, kicking, etc. And when i go in the pool i will take it easy and just stand there with my daughter while she swims.
I am sure i will be taking baby swimming this summer, it will probably just be really late in the summer.
And i have suites from Sadie. They are all 3 month ones and fit her fine. I have some swim diapers ready too!
I cant wait.
