Default Cramps

I have been having some menstrual-like cramps this afternoon. They are just dull, not painful. Could these be Braxton Hicks? I don't know what those should feel like.

Any ideas?

Sounds like braxton hicks to me, mine started up frequently around 25 weeks with all of my pregnancies. If you are having more than 4 per hour, drink some water and lie on your left side for a while (if you can). Dehydration and sometimes excessive movement can start them up.

Sounds like it. I didn't notice them when I was PG with my boys; but then again I was so naive about pregnancy in general back then and didn't pay much attention to what my body did. I did notice them when PG with Ava.

I do know that I need to drink more water, so maybe that will help. Thanks!

Personally if it's a dull pain I think it sounds more like ligament stretching (what my OB calls liagmentus). I had that kind of pain just last week for about 3 days. To me BH are more like you would expect them to be - they come and go. Regardless, drinking water and laying on your left side will make you feel better.

B&H's are when your belly hardens like a rock for a little bit, then goes away. It doesn't involve any cramps. Sounds more like lower ligament stretching.

Btw, Drinking more water helps tons.

I agree with the ligaments stretching. I get achy pains along the lower sides of my uterus alot - feels sort of like contractions (not braxton hicks) but only on the sides. It's actually pretty miserable.

I think it is most probably ligament stretching. Try getting off your feet for a while and drinking lots of water!!
