Calling All Baby Sling Experts !
Is anyone familiar with this type of Baby Sling? I think they are super cute, if they would be functional. I've never tried a baby sling, but with Ava being so active and me starting to feel uncomfortable with the thought of having Presley in a carrier or even in the pack n play, I'm considering getting one so I can keep her close to me even when I'm having to walk around the house.
Here's the link on Ebay.

Re: Calling All Baby Sling Experts !
No clue, it's a pouch sling though and I love those. I was thinking of getting a Peanut shell this time to try, but that auction has the fabric I want...
So I might give this a try. I'd read feedback if you haven't yet and probably google it to see if there are any issues with how well it is or isn't made. But in the end, a pouch sling is a very basic tube, so if its sewn right and with good measurements, you should be just fine!
What print would you get?

Re: Calling All Baby Sling Experts !
Have you checked for a review of them on TBW (thebabywearer.com)? Heck, for that price, you almost can't go wrong giving it a try. They are cute!
I'm not a fan of ring slings, but will be getting a new pouch this time, too. I've recently ditched the idea of getting a solarveil one though (too scratchy for a newborn, IMO...and not much point in using it in the water if I have to line it with something) and will either be getting a Slingling Baby Slings by Slinglings. Stylish Comfortable Easy Pouch Baby Sling. For a limited time buy 2 get the 3rd FREE! or a Hotsling from...guess where?...TARGET! Yes, they carry them now! Only $40!!! If I go that route, I just need to find a fabric I like. My Peanut Shell is microfleece, so not a great option in the heat. (I've always had trouble w/their sizing, too...I tend to be in-between and it's really annoying.)

Re: Calling All Baby Sling Experts !
Target carries Hotslings!?!?! I ordered one from the Hotslings web site and love it! I guess I'll have to go to Target now and see what styles they have.
My SIL has used a ring sling and the pouch, and prefers the ring, my sister prefers the pouch, so I guess it is just a personal preference. I like the pouch b/c there are no pieces to pull or tighten, you just find your size and the baby fits right in.
$25 is a great deal, I may end up getting one of those too! Instead of being addicted to purses or shoes, I think I am going to be a sling collector.

All her feedback is 100% positive. I think I will give it a try for the price. Worse case scenario and I'm not the babywearing type, I'll have wasted $25 and I've wasted that much and more before on other things + DH spends a lot more on his "toys" that end up sitting on a shelf after the new wears off.

Re: Calling All Baby Sling Experts !
I think it looks great Shannon! I may even order one even though I really don't need another sling!
Melissa, I ordered from Slinglings.com last year and LOVE them! The woman who runs it is fantastic and so helpful. I do have one suggestions, if you are in between sizes, go up a size. I don't know if I did or not, but when Kate got a bit bigger I couldn't get her on my hip, the sling was too tight. I think it's because it was my first sling and I felt more comfortable having her closer to me in the begining that it became too small as she got older. Hope you see this!

Re: Calling All Baby Sling Experts !
I asked her about the material and she said it was a calico cotton and not a stretchy "t-shirt" like cotton. Which does it need to be - something with give or not much give? Going to order one today, if you girls say the material sounds like the right type.
