Default Bugaboo

My dh has taken a strong liking to the Bugaboo strollers. He's leaning towards buying the Cameleon which is the most expensive model --- geez! I'm not sold on it completely because of the price tag. Does anyone own one or know someone that does. Do you/they love it or hate it?

Sorry- never heard of it! LOL I think what you should get is something that can be easily stored and can be put in and out of your vehicle without too much trouble. That being said, I used slings alot when the baby was small and didn't start the stroller until they were older...like close to a year. (my boys weren't big fans of the stroller and didn't want to stay in them.) You are having a girl so maybe she won;t be like that. I always see girls sitting so nicely in the stroller and think "wow- I was lucky to get mine to stay there for 10 minutes." Boys are ALWAYS on the move and at least mine hated being restrained LOL

It doesn't matter how much the price tag is if the stroller doesn't for you. If it is hard to use, hard to get undone, etc. If it is really heavy...you know...go to the store and see if they will let you try the ones you like with your car (I think Babies R us lets you do that for car seats so you can see what works best with your type of vehicle etc.) It is more about the function and usefulness of the thing that matters, I think.

I also wish I had bought a jogging stroller way back because I started running and they are lightweight and usually navigate easier than the ones with the small wheels. I ended up using my friend's single jogger, then she got the double, but it was not working for her because her boys got too big. SHe GAVE it to me! I love it but it is a hassle to put in the SUV now. Go figure, it fit in the trunk of my Intrepid with no problems but I have to take it apart to get it in the Expedition. LOL

I may use it this summer and after when my older 2 are in school- I can take the youngers to the park and jog before the weather gets too cold.

HTH. I would say if you can try it before you buy it- no matter WHAT you decide on, it is better- IMO the price and the "prettyness" are not really as important as how well it works for you because otherwise you will have a stroller you hate! lol

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and dark hair.

I found it to be too cumbersome. Even though it is light enough I felt like it was just too much for me with far too little. I have heard form other moms that they love love love it or that they hate it. I would never use it as a jogger and you have to buy a cup holder and I hated that there was no basket. A basket is a must for me otherwise the stroller is pretty much uselss for us. It does however convert to several different positions and it is user friendly. Ifelt it was the biggest waste of money because the fact it was probably one of the most expensive strollers with nothing to offer me. Strollers are very personal and this was not a good match for me. Ihave gone through so many strollers and am now happy and decided i do not need a new one for this baby. THANK GOODNESS!!!!!

Zara, we almost got one when we were pregnant with Kate. We know a few people who have them and LOVE them! I don't know anyone who has one and doesn't love it. I think they all come with a basket now too. We ended up not getting it at the time because we knew we were going to have 2 babies close in age and that it wouldn't be practical to spend all that money. And after Kate was born, I was glad we didn't. She had terrible acid reflux and could not be laid flat for at least 2 1/2 months so the bassinett (which I LOVED) would have been useless for us. I wish they would come out with a double stroller!

I would suggest going to a store that carries them and play aroudn with it. Take the bassinett on and off and open and close it many times. It's pretty easy to do and most stores (since they are specialty stores) will allow it with no issues. Also, you can go to the message board on www.babybargains.com and under the stroller section ask questions about it. That website is like a consumer reports for baby stuff and there are a ton of moms who have a lot of input.

Good luck and let us know what you decide!

That's the same one that alot of celebrities use. Looks really cool. We bought a really expensive Peg Perego when I had Ava and although it was nice I'm not sure I would do it again. In retrospect it seems silly to have spent so much on a stroller. We'll use the same one this time around though...

Thanks for all the input ladies and the link was really useful Kristina.

I'm going to take the test drive and see if I want to shell out so much $ for a stoller. Granted we will use it for all of our kids, but do we really *need* something so fancy?

I plan on baby wearing as much as possible. Living in Houston it's constant in and out of places so wearing will be easier when I have to run quick errands. Otherwise, we need a good stroller with good wheels and maneuverability to handle the various terrains around town. Which the bugaboo could handle.

If it made me breakfast I would happily pay $900 for it.

OMG it's 900? LOL

Kim said kind of what i was trying to say- it is a personal thing!

I ended up with a Graco or something with the car seat- I guess those are the travel systems. I thought 150$ or whatever it cost was ALOT! HAHAHA We used that and the car seat for all the kids, and it was a gift, so we got the person's money out of it. Not sure if I will go get a new car seat or not- like a girl one. Mine is blue plaid. It doesn't matter I guess.
