breast, bottle, cloth, disposable....
Are you all planning to breast or bottle feed?
Also do you plan to use cloth or disposable diapers?
I plan to breastfeed, I hope to make enough milk this time. If not I will supplement with some Similac or Enfamil brand formulas. I do not trust Carnation brands or the generics.
Carnation is the bottom of the line formula in my opinion plus it nearly killed my son when he was just a few days old. I got reemed out by some doctor in the hospital when my son was a few days old because I was using that formula. I then did a lot of research and was angry with myself for ever trying it. I also started taking notes on people I knew in person and encountered online with all the issues their kids had that were linked to good start. A lot of spitting up and gastrointestinal issues. It gave my son weezing and enlarged intenstines and he onyl had ate it for like 2-3 days. ugh.
Anyways I plan on Pampers disposables. I just do not want to try cloth diapers. I never have wanted to try them.

Oh my. Im glad he ended up okay. Must have been scary for you.
Im planning on bfing. If that doesn't work out, like what happened with my other 2 (diagnosed no supply with my first and then had bad ppd, along with other problems, with my second), Ill plan on ffing, using Nestle Good Start like I did with the boys.
We will use disposable diapers...Pampers.

I am going to try oatmeal this time and the mothers milk tea and see if that helps with supply. I hope it works, it will be much less expensive than formula!

Re: breast, bottle, cloth, disposable....
Since I JUST stopped breastfeeding, I am sure I will be breastfeeding again. I've already been working with Kate to sit and play in the area I am sitting in and either me not playing with her, or me playing small things with her. She'll be 14 months when this baby comes!
If we supplement, we will use the BJs brand formula. Exactly the same label as Enfamil. It's what I use now. We used to use Good Start but I don't like the way it clumps so much.
As for diapers, I use Pampers Swaddlers and when the baby outgrows Swaddlers I will most likely move him or her to the BRU brand. I use them with Kate and they work great for us during the day time. At night she wears Pampers Cruisers. I figure with 2 in diapers, I need to save as much as I can!

Re: breast, bottle, cloth, disposable....
I plan on breastfeeding again. I hopefully will have no problems I used Horizon Organic formula after Isabella was a year to supplement her night feeding before bed because I was plum dry at bedtime. She seemed to take it okay and if for some reason my breasts fail me....I would try that brand first again. It is expensive, but I only had to do one bottle a night for 4 months. I weaned at 16 months.
I love Pampers swaddlers for the the first two sizes and then Isabella went into size 3 cruisers. She never made it past the size three. Little peanut! I have already started buying my swaddlers. Doaipers are so expensive. I wish I had the patience for cloth. I know I couldn't launder them myself and would end up costing more for the diapering service around here too. I have to use Huggies wipes. I tried Costco brand and hated them and I hated Pampers wipes also. My sister and I got a good laugh because she was the exact opposite, Huggies diapers and Pampers wipes.

Re: breast, bottle, cloth, disposable....
Breastfeeding without a doubt, did all of my kiddos to self weaning, which was 11-17 months, different for each kiddo. I did cloth with my youngest from birth to potty learning, and I'm planning to cloth diaper probably until we hit solid foods, it will just depend how things work out, but I have my newborn stash started, and they are so itty bitty.

Kid will be co-sleeping in a packnplay next to the bed when he is really little.

Re: breast, bottle, cloth, disposable....
We will start out BFing as long as the supply keeps up with demand. Then will supplement with formula. Had to use Infamil Nutramigen (the hypoallergenic kind) with Ava due to all the others giving her such bad gas. Talk about expensive. I ended up buying it on Ebay and saved about 1/3 of the store cost - if you could even find it in my local stores. Hoping this one isn't quite as sensitive digestively.
We will use disposable diapers - with Ava I preferred Huggies Supreme; but I did try a couple of packages of Pampers too. I like Pampers pretty well during Newborn and Size 1. After that I had leak problems with them, so I switched to Huggies full time. Also, Huggies constantly sends me coupons. I never could get Pampers to send them regularly - and in that case Huggies would win based on price. I don't do generic diapers - just don't like my baby's bottom feeling wet when I change them; and I always found it that way if I tried an "off brand" diaper. Besides with a coupon, I could always get my brand name diapers for barely 50 cents more than the cost of the store brands.
