Bleeding!!!!!!! (TMI)
I know I don't post much on here but I read often and check in to see how all of you are doing. This pregnancy has just been really tough...sick the entire time, very light headed, etc. Let's just say I'm ready for it to be over but I know this baby needs to grow a bit more. Anyway, I've got a question for you gals.
2 weeks ago I woke up and felt like I had peed in bed a little bit. When I went to the bathroom it was blood. No mucous at all, just watery blood, bright red. So, we went to Labor and Delivery. They did a bunch of tests, no amniotic fluid, my cervix was high and closed, etc, etc. DH and I had fooled around a bit the night before and they determined that it was just some broken cappalaries on my cervix. I bled a tiny bit more the following day and then it's just been light brown/yellow mucous discharge since then.
Well, around 3pm on Mother's Day I was making cupcakes and felt a large gush. Ran to the bathroom, still gushing and told DH I thought my water was breaking. I sat down on the toilet and there was blood everywhere. I'm not talking a trickle, I'm talking a LOT. So, we headed back to L&D. Again, same tests, no amniotic fluid, they also did that test where they see if you're going to go into labor soon...nope. Monitored the baby the entire time and he looked great...moving a lot. No contractions, yadda, yadda. They did take a swab from my cervix and again, they think that my cervix is starting to change and it's causing me to bleed. I just can't imagine that it would make me bleed THAT much. I totally stopped bleeding when we left the hospital and have just had the mucousy discharge for the past 2 days.
Anyway, I go see my doctor for my 37w appointment tomorrow but I'm not sure what she'll be able to tell me. Everything I've read says that a lot of bright red blood is not normal. Has anyone has anything like this? The baby is still moving a lot, I'm not having any contractions (other than typical BH contractions), no cramping, etc. Could all that blood really just be from my cervix thinning out? I've never heard of that. Ugggh, I'm so over this pregnancy and all the worry it has brought! Thanks for listening!
