Tuesday Morinng i took the labour induction cocktail my mw gave me whick gave contrations all day but nothing consistant. So i never timed them, and they werent horribly painful so i didnt think much of them. Midnight wednesday morning i woke up from more painful contartions they were about 7 mins apart lasting only 35-40 secs, so i didnt call the mw until 2am when they were about 5 mins apart. After calling my mom to stay with Logan Dh and i went to the hospital and i was checked out, I was already 4 cms!! at 5 am my mw broke my water. By 8 am i was feeling that urge to push, My mw checked me but i was only 7 cm
So they gave me some Nitrous (laughing gas) to help control the urge., and i lived in the shower for the next 2hours. By 10am i kept saying i NEED to PUSH!! i was checked agian only 8.5 cm dialted WHAT!! My body was pushing for me...they was No way i could control it. they hooked me up to an IV and gave me Fentenal(spelling??) to try make my body relax so i coule finish dialting......well that was just NOT happening. So my mw decided to try letting me push through it with her help. She pushed my cervix up and behind Parkers head while i pushed him out. 30 min and a few posistion changed later Parker head came out, with the cord wrapped tightly around his neck. My mw had no other option then to cut the cord while his body was still in me. Then his sholders got stuck, so He was without an oxygen for about 2 mins. He finally came out but so was blue and limp. The pediatritions were in there so fast, and they were recessitating him. Tube down his throught and pumped his lungs for 10 mins or so. He finally started breathing on his own and i held him for a minute then they took him to the incubator. His Bp dropped to 20 % so they hooked him up to and iv and he was under careful watch for 6 hours. He came to our room around 5 pm, and was released without
thursday morning at 10am. He is a bit aniemic from the early cutting of the cord, But bp is doing great. Apgars were 3 and 7 at birth and he's only lost 3 0z so far.
