Back from my P/N appt

I've gained a total 4 lbs since last month. Not too bad! But she's still concerned about my overall weight gain which is about 40 lbs.

BP and urine checked out fine. KL's heartbeat was about 160 bpm.

Then she pulls out the trusty measuring tape to see how far along I'm measuring and it turns out that I'm measuring between 30 & 31 weeks! A 2-3 Week difference! I don't know how to feel about this, but I'll take it if that means KL is arriving earlier.

She ordered a size and grwoth u/s for me and I've scheduled it for April 26th at 9 AM.

I also mentioned to her that I was having lots of pressure down there and she decided to check me just to be on the safe side. My cervix was high and to the back so nothing to be alarmed about. KL threw a fit after the exam though. This baby girl's got a lot of strength and moxie!

As I got in the elevator to leave, 2 girls were walking out. They had bought FRIED CHICKEN for lunch. OMG! Never in my life has fried chicken smelled SOOOOOOOOOO good.

Think I might have some for dinner!

Sounds like a good appt to me! With my first, I measured 4 weeks ahead starting at 28 weeks. They told me she would probably be early; that I wouldn't make it through February (I was due on the 25th). She was born on March 3rd, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz. I don't know what happened, but she definitely wasn't huge and she definitely wasn't EARLY!
Maybe your luck will be a little better than mine, though!

Fried chicken does sound good....

Glad you had another good appt, despite the weight issue. It happens. The baby just might be needing more than the average. Every baby is different and every baby needs are different too. Im sure the weight will come off fast. YAY for getting to see her again soon.

Measuring doesnt really mean anything in coming early or not dept. Differences could be many reasons, most likely due to positioning or just how you carry. I never reached over 38 with my first and he was almost 7lbs BUT I never measured past 35 with my second and he was a full pound heavier at almost 8lbs.

Thank you girls for the BTDT mommy advice.

I'm still hanging on to my fairytale of her coming in mid June rather than late.

I'm just SO anxious.

My OB also said she wouldn't induce until 39 weeks regardless of size because she wants the baby's lungs to be fully developed. So big baby or not, she won't mess with nature or change my EDD.

Glad for the good appt!! Pregnancy is so weird anything could happen, so its hard to say... but heres to some positive thoughts for you going a little early!

Great appt, Zara! Glad you're going to get another sneak peak at Miss KL. I'll be interested to see what they say she is weighing (approximately of course).

I want this to happen for me. With Presley already showing to weigh 3 lbs 12 oz at only 29 weeks, she could end up being a 9 pounder and that would just not be good with a c-section incision to deal with. Hoping she slows down. At least I know I won't have to go beyond June 23rd.
