Hi ladies!! My baby shower is 2 weeks away and I need help with prize ideas!!!...Im trying to be creative with them. One prize will be a bottle filled with candy and another will be a bottle of Baby All {the detergent, for the game winner takes all}. In a way we're trying to stick with the baby theme for prizes and i have no more ideas. Please help me !

Did you come up with games already because a shower i went to recently we played a good game and i am not fond of games at showers. it was a celebrity baby guessing/matching game. you have to match the celebrity with their baby names. you could probably find something like that online if you need it.

We got small candy favors at the shower and then each person got a soap pump from bath and body works, i liked it a lot!
It was something everyone could use.
Candy or nuts are always good gifts too. good luck.

I usually bought little prizes depending on the party. For my daughter's baby shower I made little gift bags with little pink nail polishes, pink note paper, pink pens, pink candy... etc.

Some of my favorite games are....

Socks- have a pile of baby socks and time how fast each person can pair them up... it's quite funny to watch them dig through the pile pairing them up.

CottonBalls- I got a big heavy bowl (I used a glass bowl) and filled it up with cotton balls.. then took an identical heavy bowl and set it next to it.. Then I got a heavy silver spoon and blindfolded each person. They had to scoop cotton balls from one bowl to the other. You can't "feel" anything on the spoon etc. so it was funny to watch people scoop empty spoon fulls. For my mom, I gave her an empty bowl to empty bowl. We laughed and laughed as she quickly scooped nothing from one bowl to the other. Great photos.

We made playdough babies and had a contest to see which was the best... so funny to see the different babies the girls made.

The last was to get a baby hanger and a lot of clothes pins on it that you use to hang clothes on a line outside... they took turns taking off as many clothes pins as they could with ONE hand.. the one that could hold the most and take them off... in one hand, won.

I like interesting games and not the standard same old same old and since half my family speaks only spanish I have to make up games that can be translated well for English and Spanish speakers.

My Angel Baby 03/2001

Oh, another one of my favorite games.. that isn't really baby shower related... but funny..

I brought out a scale.. and we weighed everyone's purse. The person with the heaviest purse not only did we get a good laugh at but the prize was a pair of weights so they could work out to carry it around. That was my aunt that had a 10lb purse.

I've done games where they guessed the baby food... and for birthday parties.. where they guessed the spices. One of the bags, I filled up with leaves from outside, crushed to throw them off.

I have a ball coming up with games and being funny with them.

If you're just looking for prizes to give away then you should consider going to the $0.99 store. There's all sorts of stuff there that you could use as prizes especially if you don't want to break the bank.

Buy some cute dish towels and fold them up like diapers as a prize, baby themed but useful. You could take baby food jars and fill them full of really nice bath salts. They sell soap kits at craft stores and you could make baby themed soap, and put in cute bags.
