I was just diagnosed with complete previa today at my (almost) 37 week appointment. They've scheduled a c-section but I was just wondering if anyone has had or knows someone that's had experience with a birth with previa? TIA!

I've known a couple of women online who had it but noone IRL. The only thing I really remember from my online friends though is that they were put on bedrest for it I think. Other than that, I am pretty clueless. I am sure others on here will know more about it though.

anyone Ive known has had to be delivered as soon as possible... I do know someone in real life that had it and they delivered her immediately... when is your c-section?? I hope it is soon... looks like these ladies were right when they told you it sounded like that... I am so sorry sweetie!! Good thing is is that you are far enough along that your baby probably wouldnt need the NICU. Ryann was born at 36 weeks and was ok =)

I so glad you got answers. Looks like we were right about the P.Prev stuff in your previous thread.

Ive known many that had healthy babies with PP.

My mom had it with me, though she didn't know it until she was in labor- her water broke, and then they found out at the hospital...so it isn't always an immediate thing. YK? Obviously I was fine until the birth I was 10 days "early".

I have known a couple people online and IRL who also had it, and they do c-sections.

I think I have read somewhere that there are instances where a mother has had a natural birth with PP but it is VERY rare. I don't think it is one of those things that you can get away from a c-section. I am sorry that you have to have one, because of the placenta previa. But at least you can be prepared...it is probably really scary going in and they do an emergency one.
