..a human paci?? Seriously, OW! In the past 3 days Jeigh has decided that she has to have boobie in her mouth all.darn.afternoon. It makes it VERY hard to get anything accomplished. Will NOT take the paci. It was so bad yesterday that my mother made me thaw milk (what a waste ) b/c it was like she was STARVING and I would have to just keep switching boobs every 15 minutes. Needless to say she screamed horrilby when we tried to give her the bottle. We even squirted some of the milk out into her mouth (it was the FIRST time using a bottle since we had to supplement at the hospital). Of course she wouldn't take the bottle so I have 6 oz. of wasted milk in the fridge and very sore nipples today. ... anyway... I feel utterly (pun intended ) rediculous and a little stressed being a human paci. My poor son isn't very pleased either. Someone pleeeeeaase tell me she'll quit this sooner rather than later.

Yes, she's just increasing your supply, and in a few days she'll probably nurse much less. OR she could be cluster-feeding and storing up for a good long stretch of sleep

DS was doing this too for 3 solid weeks. All day long. He wasn't getting enough milk from me thought (noticeable by a lack of weight gain). It does get better. Just keep working at it. When she gets bigger and her mouth does too, she will be faster and more eficient at nursing.

I remember Kianna doing that. And OMG, my poor bbs and nips back then. But yeah, it does get better.
