i never had the experience of my water breaking....i was always laid in the hospital bed legs spred and seeing the large crochet hook the woop and almost a deflating feeling?...just know it brings contractions harder...anyways...i never got to feel the consistancy the nurses changed everything right away. so i want to know what does it feel like? is it water or gel like? i woke up kinda wet again and more gel like substance on my undies and TP but more watery? not thick like MP so im wondering is my water perhaps "leaking?" lol if it is MP its extreamly diluted kwim? and no i havent DTD...husband wont touch me.

When your water breaks, it is definitely liquid!! The first time, mine broke in the shower -- and I questioned if it was my water or if I had lost control of my bladder. The second time, it broke as I was sitting up on the edge of the sofa -- a huge gush, and then a constant leak to the bathroom -- and then huge gushes every time I had a contraction....

Are you having any contractions at all?!?! If you are questioning it, there is a test that they can do (fern test -- don't know the "actual name") to see if it is your water -- probably better to be safe than sorry....

I had a leak in my bag with Nick, and it was like a feeling of constantly having peed myself, but only a little bit at a time. Clear fluid. The hole was small though, so they still used the crochet like needle to break my water whne I was in labor with him and that was a splooshy mess that ran all the way off the bed and almost to the bathroom door of my room. With Aiden my water busted and it felt kinda like a balloon coming out in a never ending stream of water, then a constant leak. With Joshua they busted my water for me, and again, kersploosh everywhere. All times the fluid was clear. Cervical mucous does come in rather huge portions near the end though, so if it is not clear, it could be that. When in doubt get checked out though. There is the ferning test, which is a distinctive pattern (fern like) that can be seen under the microscope which lets them know if it is your water or not.

well for me it does....i can tolerate labor but the water to me is like a cusion? out of 4 kids i have only experienced 1 epi and that was my last....well one prior to this one it just seemed to me that i'd be ok as far as contractions, get to the hospital still be ok, just a lil more intense (i think the hospital environment does that?) but then they break the water and for me it made contractions hurt more?....

im still having contractions,nothing to be alarmed about. my BH have pain with them dr says its the more kids you have. i actually feel good today lol...but my stomach feels like not smooshy that when you rub it you have to press a lil to feel a body part kwim?...but when i rub it i feel like all the body parts? like the legs heels elbows maybe lol im a nut.... i analyze to much....i dont think it was/is my water.....i just went to the bathroom again and its like slimy EWWWW effect and some lil gel lookin pearls?? clear though. shiny....gee wizz can you tell i have a hard time describing it...maybe my MP is trying ot regenerate?

My contractions definitley pick up and get more painfu once m water breaks. The drs warn me about it before they break it. It is a form of getting things going alot faster.
