Oh, we aren't sure at all! and we have to come up w/ 2! DH has way more patience w/ finding the name than I do, but I'm sure we'll have our choices in time. I hope! We do have a couple of front-runners so that helps some.

well there is joseph i guess... but we are washie on it.... If we could go Joseph Cole.... And then we could maybe give him my fathers jewish name... but NORMALLY in the jewish religion.... the jewish name is after the dead... and well... my father is still alive and well... so i wouldnt want to hurt his feelings. lol I was going to go aftger my grandmother.... Mary... (marie and the middle name for a girl) But now we wont have a girl..... SO... i dont know. I couldnt give a boy her jewish name..... lol

We're all set on a name, surprisingly. This time we just came up with Max and we both loved it immeadiately. It's the first time we just "knew" it was the right name. We knew his mn would be Allen after dh's dad and brother.

Ooops...I asked you about your possible name choices in your siggy thread! That's what I get for being so impatient I guess! FWIW, I LOVE the name Joseph...this is one of the only names that I like all of the variations for it- Joey is sweet for a child, Joe is nice for an adult and Joseph is a strong name in case, ya know, he becomes a doctor or lawyer or something . Joseph Cole has a nice ring to it (and if I'm not mistaken didn't you want to stay with the "rock" theme?) When I asked DH about us using Joseph he vetoed it- but only because his ex-step brother has that name and it, apparently, has negative connotations for him now...turns out we don't need a boys name so no biggie for us I guess!

To answer your question: yes, we are set on our little girl name: Allison Rene (though when I shared it here before I spelled it Alison and have since added the 2nd "l" ) Rene is both my mn as well as my mother's so that was a given for us I think (both boys have ties to family in their names so we wanted her to have that as well...) And I am not kidding when I say that the 1st name was the only one that I offered to DH that he agreed with! It's important to him, and me I guess, to have a name that doesn't evoke a negative response in either of us when we hear it and neither of us know, or know of , an Allison- so there it is!

Naming is HARD- esp when you have to agree with another person and you are both pretty opinionated about what you want or don't want! You guys will find something that suits your family in time though...lots of trial and error (before the baby comes! ) and one of these days you'll just find it I bet!

No, we just started discussing them after we found out she was a little girl. Like Brandy said, it is very difficult for us to pick a name together. One of us likes one, the other one hates it or vice versa. It's really a PITA to tell you the truth! Hopefully we will settle on a name before this baby turns 1!

well yeah I would "like" to stay with the rock theme.... My husbands name is Rocky and then Stone. (these are nicknames though) They are both GEORGE. But we NEVER EVER use the names for either George is ROckys dad. But Rocky doesnt like Cole... or I would do Cole Joseph. I am about to look up other names that mean stone though
